LA’s American Cinematheque has announced a wonderfully esoteric lineup for their 3rd Annual Sci-Fi, Fantasy and Horror Festival, running August 8-25. Titles include the praised UK werewolfilm DOG SOLDIERS, Curtis Harrington’s new film USHER, the Japanese swordfest PRINCESS BLADE and retrospective showings of movies ranging from 20 MILLION MILES TO EARTH to JAWS to THE CAR, plus more to be announced! In addition, the Cinematheque will later present a Val Guest tribute, with the director in attendance (September 20-22) and an appearance with screenings by German director Romuald (THE DEATHMAKER) Karmakar (October 1-2).
