Does anyone know anything about the vcds of Ring and Ring 2 that dddhouse.com are selling?

It says that the Ring vcd only has Chinese subs. Is this true? but wait? it says its a dvd but only has the listings for the vcd... Im confused...

I don't know if you can play R2 DVDs, but all the Ring series has been out on DVD in the UK for months now.
