I like brunch. And missionary.

I like missionaries who eat brunch.

Put me down as someone OK with scheduled missionary sex with Jennifer Garner.

What if she asked you to dress in a Daredevil costume during the act and to let her call you Ben?

Can't speak for MichaelM, but pretty sure I'd still be OK with it.

Sax is letting his own fetishes seep into the convo.

Yep. Still OK with it.

Garner strikes me as the most level-headed Murican mom of the (immensely wealthy) block, the kind who goes to her kids' baseball games, plays at the all-women baseball team and watches Sunday night baseball and downs a few beers with her husband. (I have vast first-hand knowledge of the Murican lifestyle)

Must've been a hoot watching said hubbie turn into a combination of Jim Cameron and Jennifer Lopez.

You have no evidence of this.

But, seriously, what if Lucy Liu walked into the room with eight See's Candies Apple Pie Truffles in one hand and a dog collar in the other and she....

Huh.  I didn't know it was possible to make shacking up with Jennifer Garner sound miserable.

The hockey thread has turned into the Sax slashfic thread.

To be fair, nobody really cares about hockey. The best known hockey mask wearer is Jason Vorhees and even he would rather go camping than play the sport.

IT'S CALLED A GOALIE MASK NOT A HOCKEY MASK
post #1165 of 2682
Does a goalie not play hockey?
It's not called a Jason mask?

There's nothing that makes Jason's mask specifically a goalie mask.

Really, what other context has it been used in?

As a street hockey mask for any other position.  Have you actually SEEN what a goalie mask looks like?

Only a goalie wears that mask. Only goalies wear a mask. If you want to be pedantic Ice Hockey Goalie mask.
Nobody in America watches hockey unless they're weird.
It's a Jason mask. People only wear it when playing Jason..

America owns most of the NHL teams.  Like 80 percent.

This is untrue. Do you actually live in Canada? Please say no.

He can't be Canadian. No one wears a mask in street hockey.

I do.  NOBODY wears a mask in street hockey, but functionally there's nothing that makes it a goalie mask.  Anyone can wear it.  When I was a kid I just wore my actual goalie mask.

No one except a goalie has ever worn a full face shield. It isn't permitted in any professional league. The Jason Voorhees mask was intended for street hockey goaltenders. No one in any seriousness has worn it as a forward Skater.

If you wear a face cage in men's league you get murderously chirped for Christ sakes. You will lose that eye in a div 6 beer league and you will take it like a man.

Are we talking beer league or fucking street hockey?  That cheap plastic shit doesn't belong on actual ice and it hasn't for like 50 years.

When Jason came out that was pretty much top of the line. Hell helmets were only made mandatory in 79.

Freeman doesn't appreciate the acceleration of hockey technology. When Voorhees started wearing the mask it was acceptable goalie equipment. It would be an error to resign it to street hockey.

Freeman probably wore a cup in street hockey.

I really feel we've one upped ourselves on tangents this time you guys.

Why didn't anybody tell me this existed!

Well.  That's unquestionably going to be better than this.

That looks like everything that Civil War failed to deliver. And yes, leagues better than this mess.

It was such an easy comment to make. All you had to do was not say something STOOPID, and you just couldn't help your fool ass self.

You think you've seen everything, and then you see a bear fire a minigun.

Did Civil War give me a werebear firing a minigun, I ask you? Or wrestling a spider-tank?

No. No it did not.

Here's my question.  What about Marvel or the Civil War movie made you think a spider tank or werebear with a minigun would be in it?  What Black Panther isn't cool enough for you?  You want it to be sooooooo comicy booky that it turns off most audiences who don't get it?!  IS THAT WHAT YOU WANT?!

This sounds like a Jon Peters script note.

He wants The Wild Wild West!

That's all I've ever wanted.

Anyway I still wouldn't be able to forgive the movie for introducing a gorgeous '65 Volkswagen and then not featuring an extended sequence with Vision, Iron Man, and the Hulk crammed into it on a road trip. What a waste of potential.

You keep talking nonsense I'm going to put you on the list of Freeman!  You don't want to be on the list!

They should've gotten to the big throwdown at the end only to have Squirrel Girl barge in and break it up, then make everybody sit down and actually talk things out for five minutes so they could realize they were all being stupid about it.

Oh yeah?  You know what happens when you make silly posts?  You know what's going happen?  You know what happens when you act a fool? Huh?  Do ya?

YOU JUST MADE THE LIST!

Civil War is a peculiar target. If you wanna throw shade at Marvel moobies, there's others that deserve it way more (though I personally have little bad to say about ANY MCU movie)..
