Thoughts one way or the other on a Tatum Snake? Do you guys see it?

Snake is smart. He's always thinking even when he's over his head. I'm not sure I've ever seen Tatum play 'smart'. It will be a challenge for him.

I could see it a bit. He's never gone badass, which is akin to Kurt's rise to the part.

There's a couple guys his age that we haven't seen go who might be able to do the angle better.

In a straight remake, I don't love the choice, but when paired with Russell and Cage, I could see it being fun in an over the top way that Channing can do in his sleep.

And there I did it. The Sci-Fi Queen is a force to be reckoned. I'm surprised Pither or Dickson didn't pick her.

Yeah, I'm geeking out imagining it in my head!

I toyed with the idea of casting Weaver as Cabbie just to play against type and give her a fun role in one of these movies instead of being the boss lady like in Paul/Cabin in the Woods.

She'd make a killer Hauk.

I think Tatum could be a great Snake. It's a role that walks the line between humor and gruffness which I think he could handle well.

Well, I was going to!

Love Baldwin playing the Trump surrogate.

Never really had Weaver on my radar.  Swinton was my Hauk from the get-go.

I thought of a great Brain. So no one think of my Brain!
You're just gonna forget it. We can help you remember if you tell us.
Why, sure! It's -- it's...

*forgets*

I had a perfect actor for Brain. But then realized he reminded me more of how Harry Dean Stanton looks right now, than the way he did in 1982.

Still pissed about everyone taking all the best picks for Maggie.

My Maggie pick was pretty good, wasn't it?

I don't regret spending a single second on google images looking through pictures of her.

She's pretty.

Dawson is a cool Maggie.

Gracias, Elvis.

I did wonder when Snipes would drop as the Duke. That line of thinking started after I drafted Ice-T, and the same line of thinking took me to a place where I wish we could see him as the Joker.
Speaking of Russell movies, have you guys done a Thing or Big Trouble draft yet?

Eta: Carpenter AND Russell picks, for Christ.

Snipes is a terrific Duke pick. I picture an older, more mellow, Simon Phoenix.

Hard to judge Eastwood. Haven't seen any of his movies. Know he has a whole bunch coming and is gonna be pushed hard by the studios.

Exactly where my Joker thinking came from. Phoenix is a wild card narcissostic sociopath with a wacky look.
Warlock is kind of killing it.

Had to jump in late. I can't believe how many of my choices didn't get taken. I should draft on time Tomorrow

Biehn and especially Snipes are perfect picks. Well done, Warlock.

I'm depleted of rep today, but great, great job today, everyone. Killer pics all around, and definitely having a ton of fun with the surprises and angles with what everyone's taken.

Anyway, updated times are listed.

I just thought of Wesley Snipes tonite. I was hoping to sneak him in as Duke tomorrow. Grrrrrrrrr

I'll be running around today, don't wait on me.

Lithgow as the President is great. Hendricks was a backup Maggie.

Good one Lithgow. He'd be a good Cabbie too.
I had just thought of Lithgow yesterday afternoon. Back to square one.
Ive got a Maggie in mind. Let's see if she's still there in 30 minutes.

Jeffrey Wright, niiiice.

I just did something I've never done before: draft someone I've actually never seen them in anything. But this movie will give Bill Skarsgård a chance to do a weirdo thing before he breaks out with IT. (Kind of like Vaughn with CLAY PIGEONS right before PSYCHO).  He's young, skinny, and has the hair for it, so hoping it was a chance worth taking.

<all my other Romero candidates skewered older, which doesn't really fit>

I have an extraordinary request.

I'm unsatisfied with one of my earlier picks. May I be allowed to drop it and replace it with an as-yet undrafted actor? I would be amenable to swapping the current pick to a different role in my cast.

Skarsgard was definitely on my shortlist of Romeros.  I think I only had two choices, and one backup.

Nice to see Pantoliano taken. Don't know why he has seemingly vanished from "mainstream" films and TV.

Totally agree.  I miss the supporting presence of Pants.  He was definitely among my five or ten Cabbie possibilities.

Malek as Romero is inspired. Same with Pantoliano.

Cheadle is a most solid Brain.

I had to look your dude up Bailey, but that looks like a nice fit. He has the look.

Gosling was my back up Snake. I held off because I thought his turn in DRIVE was too similar.

You guys gotta watch Mr. Robot.

I went with Gosling because he showed me in THE NICE GUYS that he's able to play a doof with ease.  The fun part of Brain, for me at least, is that he's just on the edge of being a doof, and I could see Gosling pulling that off with ease.  The trailer for LA LA LAND shows that he can sing, so there you go.  Pair him up with some Thomas Dolby tunes and I think you'd have a really fun performance.

My Brain makes the "Harold & Kumar" movies part of the EFNYCU.

And the thought of him being called Harold with that girl scream.

Anything? I will abide by the council's ruling.

I say Hammerhead must live with his mistake!

According to Wiki, he has been suffering frim clinical depression, which might explain his career break. Bummer.
