All this Moore news is just the kind of distraction that the GOP wants right now...

McConnel to Moore: "Couldn't you wait until after you're elected to start fucking poor children?"

Collins, McCain, Murkowski... you better not cave into this.

fucking scumbags....

Speaking of scumbags, how about this mysterious robocall from "Bernie Bernstein" of The Washington Post seeking damaging info on Roy Moore:

http://wkrg.com/2017/11/14/curious-robocall-seeks-damaging-information-on-moore/

Deep down, we all knew this story wouldn't go another week without some sort of antisemitism.

He deleted this one pretty quickly:

Is that for real?

It's real, and still up at the moment. Assange posted the tweet twice; the first, which he did delete, was sent to a Donald Trump Jr. parody account.

I don't see what would have changed for since the last round.  Other than the Koch brothers stepping up the pressure behind the scenes, I guess.

Further DM to Not Benedict Cumberbatch:

You are an evil, Russia-backed rapist whose audition for the next Die Hard movie is pathetic and fucking illegal. Delete this fucking tweet.

The dumbest thing about that tweet is: Didn't Assange want to be the Australian ambassador to the US in the DM convo? Australia which has an extradition treaty with the US? Luxury immunity suites wouldn't mean shit.

Another flipped state seat in Oklahoma:

"SIREN SIREN.

Vote is final.

Dems flip this seat by 31 votes.

(Trump won it by 40% in 2016)"

Slowly, but surely.

Also, to piggyback on Iron Maiden's post above:

40% to losing in the span of a year?  Dayum.  If I'm a GOP legislator, I'm not feeling good about 2018.

Embarrassing and terrible and it affected maybe 0.0000001 percent of Alabama's population until the story went viral. This used to be the stuff that was easy to ignore.

Everyone: Please block the word "robocall" from your mentions.

I'm not sure if he's just accidentally posting old drafts, or if he now has a stock message for shootings and he forgot to change the location to northern California:

Hannity is giving Moore 24 hours to prove himself innocent of being a pedophile, and if true, he should drop out of the race:

Just like with covfefe, this will surely get a reasonable and logical explanation that proves that Trump (or whoever wrote it) didn't at all make a mistake (because he doesn't do mistakes) or simply didn't give a shit about the shooting.

You know, I dont like to throw wild accusations and conspiracies out there, or cast aspersions on someone just because of their looks, personality or statements.

But given Jeff Sessions age. education and background, I wouldnt be suprised if he participated in a lynching as a young boy/man.

What a hateful, racist and prejudiced POS.

Any particular outlets we should be focused on?

From what I gather, it'd hit all of the majors.  Unfortunately, they all seem to be tied up with the coup going on in Zimbabwe right now.

The joint coups in Zimbabwe and Saudi Arabia made me realize, again, how we're going to be dealing with the repercussions of Trump for decades. It's "game recognize game" played out in the realm of geopolitics - all these dictators and authoritarians recognize Trump's impulses in that direction, so they feel more emboldened to act, knowing he either doesn't care or is too stupid to try.

Looks like the GOP is officially going all in on repealing the individual mandate with the tax reform bill.

This is not the rumor that I'd heard, but I could see if having an effect on the thing that I DID hear.

Christ, they're so fucking stupid. I was just reading early this morning that the whole reason they were going to get away with tax reform is nobody understood it and didn't understand the immediate effects of it. But health care...that, you can get mobilized around.

Great point.  They just added the third rail to this tax bill, making it easier to fight against.

Maybe I'm being naive, but isn't A) The horrible rushed nature of this and B) The hit on Medicaid and the ACA the same things that caused McCain, Collins, and Murkowski to vote 'No' the last couple of times? These people are imbeciles. And I am so thankful for it.

I dunno, I think this Tax bill is going through "regular order" enough that McCain might vote for it.

Not sure of the status of Rand Paul though.  He MIGHT be a "no" based on how much the debt/deficit increases from it.  Maybe.  That might get outweighed by "Tax Cut for rich/corporations" though.

To that point, I sure hope that those three will again come right out and say 'we're voting NO on this.'  Just totally deflate the entire thing before it even gets any traction.

But I think that we can see this attempt to do a '2 for 1' deal as a Hail Mary to try and get stuff done before the government completely gets shut down with indictments, arrests, and impeachment talks...because they ALL know that that shit is imminent.  Very imminent.

Huh, well, here's hoping it still makes it out.

A highlight of this tax "reform" was yesterday, when Gary Cohn lobbed a softball to CEOs about using their savings to invest in workers, and most of them declined - http://www.businessinsider.com/trump-gop-tax-plan-gary-cohn-bill-2017-11

I almost admire the craven greed on display. The only message of this bill is "Fuck You, Pay Me."

That's a bit much. Those countries have their own history and politics to deal with.

I see this as a world wide backlash against Globalization. All those smug pundits who proclaimed that Globalization would take Mankind to the next level, while admitted that "hey there will be winners and there will be losers!" are now having to deal with the later.

Because while global resources aren't necessarily as constrained as Doomsayers on the other side think, neither are they infinite.

Labor always going to be cheaper in the 3rd World than the developed world, and there are only a finite amount of goods people buy (and it seems the number of things people want to buy are decreasing).

All those Renewable energy sources becoming economically viable, plus Fracking, plus some amazing advances in fuel efficiency, have led to lower oil prices for years now.

That means the Saudis can't fund their Social Services net plus the fundamentalists they've bankrolled for a hundred years plus fight a proxy war with Iran. Bloomberg reports that the Saudis have been drawing from their soverign welath funds these last few years and it will be GONE in 4 more years.

So yeah they need to clean house, probably simply confiscate the billions some of their number have, and try too find some other driver for their economy. That's what's driving the recent events there.

Zimbawee I know nothing about, but you look at all the countries who depend on Oil revenue, you see the political infrastrcuture crumpling or collapsing.
