Let's put it this way. An honorable Democrat was worse than a child molester to them.

Update:  despite my having responded to prior emails with nuanced but hearty "get fucked", the DJT campaign website continues to send me spam.

And it's got me thinking, how did I end up on their mailing list?  I have never donated to Trump or any other Republican candidate, and have never registered with any political party or organization but the ACLU.  I can't imagine any organization I have donated to would be sharing donor rolls with DonaldJTrump.com.  So if anyone knows how to track how a particular spammer acquired your email, let me know.  I started by sending emails to the DJT campaign's "privacy concerns" department and the Anti-Phishing Work Group at the FTC, but I'm not expecting the Trump campaign/administration to actually have anyone monitoring those inboxes.

Did you ever respond to any DJT or GOP polls, even out of jest?

I signed up Schwartz for all the email lists just for the lulz.

There you go.

I guess they must have tried that angle.

But this current group occupying 1600? are just the fucking worst humans.

The worst.

Here's the difference:

We're here arguing that Republican politicians are evil because they are actively trying to hurt people.

Republicans argue that all liberals are evil because Democrats sometimes try to help people.

Dems won that special election in Florida tonight in a district that went to Trump by about five points in 2016:

I've read analysis that implies a substantial number of Republican voters crossed party lines.

After seeing that pic of Obama on a bike, I googled, "fat man on a bike".....

Maybe someone with better computer skills than me can photoshop Trump's face on this guy.

It was very nice of Michael Cohen to pay Stormy Daniels out of his own pocket.  That is, of course, if you can believe it:

Thanks for confirming everything about that story was true. Top shelf lawyering there Mike!

So Cohen confirming he paid a porn star 130k out of pocket is in it's essence an admission that Trump had an extra-martial affair with said porn star, right?

I love that this is their strategy for avoiding admitting that they paid her off with campaign funds which of fucking course is what they actually did.

I suspect he had to fall on his sword here because the truth is even more damning, like the money came from campaign funds or something.

Yee haw!

I mean nothing matters anymore but what a time to be alive.

Well, I guess it still beats being dead ... for now at least.

Jeez, why are they even bothering? Just say Trump paid the gal with campaign money. Nobody in the GOP gives a shit about all the laws the administration is currently breaking, and his supporters simply ignore anything resembling truth. What's the blowback going to be? Nothing, as per usual.

"Donald Trump saved a woman from the porn industry, and I was happy to contribute 20 dollars to help him do it!"

Something like that.

Well, this is some of the least surprising news I've read in a while.

Take it from me, doctors are terrible people. I should know, being one*.

Who among us, to help out a friend, never created a limited liability corporation in Delaware to make a $130,000 payment to a porn star, forgoing even the mention of the favor?

I'd like to think that all of us have done that.  I know that I sure have.

a) suddenly remembered what his job is

b) is concerned the White House is too dumb to properly cover it up without his help

I have no idea where Trump's Soviet-style food delivery program even comes from*, but it absolutely feels like an easy messaging opportunity for Democrats, maybe even in super red areas.  Conservatives absolutely don't like being told what to eat, but Trump would like to tell them.  The program, itself, has no chance of getting beyond congress, but Dems have concrete evidence of how Trump would like to overhaul food stamps.

Also, there's the whole gutting Medicare and Medicaid thing, despite promises to the contrary.

Look, I get that conservatives have gladly given Trump a zillion passes to varying degrees, but he wants to go after them now to pay for tax cuts.  If there's anything that could penetrate that bubble, it would be that.  If not, that bubble isn't going anywhere.

*Seriously, does anyone know of a conservative think tank that advocated for a food delivery program that would essentially cut out merchants?  I've never seen anything on that before, and it's one of the more bizarre things that's happened over the last few years (which is fucking saying something).

That's true, but don't forget that there is a contingent of conservatives - the vaguely racist suburban stay-at-home Fox News moms - that love to complain about black people using food stamps to buy steaks.

Fixed that for you. Never met a conservative yet, regardless of soci-economic status or race or creed that didn't immediately bitch about the lazy blacks abusing the stamp system.  Welfare Queens in Cadillacs for the win!

As someone on Twitter pointed out last night, their SNAP plan is basically the same model the used for Native American reservations.   And there is a ton of evidence about how unhealthy it makes people.

So maybe they'll get away with it-- as white people will yet again be too defensive to confront our shameful racial history.  I hope Trump is forced to talk about Native Americans.  Maybe he'll tell the country the "Indians weren't sending their best."
