He was in half a dozen Godzilla flicks, So I figured this was a good place to post it.
Thanks to "This Date In Mstory"

Known for his roles in numerous Godzilla flicks among other things such as:
the tall, gangly "snake-handling gangster" in the movie "Key of Keys," which Allen redubbed and featured his MST3K-like film "What’s Up, Tiger
Lily?"
"GODZILLA VS. THE SEA MONSTER"
"Secret of the Telegian," "Gorath," "Attack of
the Mushroom People," "The Lost World of Sinbad," "Atragon," "Dogora the Space Monster," "Ghidrah -- the Three-Headed Monster," "Message from Space"
and the TV series "Kamen Rider".

His last role, as the prophet Iseyama in
"Godzilla, Mothra, King Ghidorah -- The Giant Monsters’ All-Out Attack," was written
especially for him.In World War II , the six-foot-tall Amamoto was drafted and survived
the invasion of Manchuria. He avoided further fighting by winning acceptance to prestigious Tokyo University, where he studied law with the plan of
becoming a diplomat. But by the end of the war he had become disillusioned with that career path.
"I became very nihilistic," he later recalled. "I didn't like to participate in anything, especially examinations. These were very desperate years for me."
It was Amamoto’s sister who redirected him, introducing him to a number of entertainment figures. He took an interest in acting, honing his skills with the highly regarded Hayuza group of stage actors, where his size and unusual looks attracted the interest of Toho Studios. Early extra work and bit parts in the 1950s led to larger roles in the 1960s. He eventually became a cult figure among Japanese movie fans, known for his eccentric appearances on several TV talk shows. Amamoto was also an aficionado of Spain; he traveled there often, wrote several books about it and enjoyed playing flamenco guitar.
