Leprechaun - the MOST unappreciated classic!

Just read that lovely little tid-bit of information at the corner regarding the<a href="http://www.creature-corner.com/news3/mar28leprechuan.php3" target="_blank">Leprechaun series</a>. As I've mentioned many times before, Leprechaun in the Hood is my ultimate guilty pleasure, so this is good news to hear about a box set. Question though, are we ever gonna see any extras? Even with the first one? Warwick did a wonderful job with the commentary track for Willow, why not Leprechaun?

Where's me gold?

Trivia fans may like to know that Leprechaun 2 was retitled "One Wedding And Lots Of Funerals" in the UK.

If their marketing people have got any sense they'll release the DVD set in an imitation Lucky Charms box.

That's a great idea. I'd even buy it for that!

I can see it now... The limited edition Leprechaun Lucky Charms box set is released, only to be recalled off the shelves a week later when General Mills threaten to sue for breach of trademark. The Leprechaun DVDs are rereleased in standard packaging, while the original box set becomes a legitimate rarity and starts selling for upwards of $600 on eBay.

Don't you remember in the first Leprechaun, near the end of the movie he starts eating out of box of "Lucky Shapes"? If they could let that slide in the movie, I'm sure they can get away with a "Lucky Shapes Box Set". No?

I remember when Leprechaun first came out. The trailers were great. Me and my friend thought it was going to be some dark tale about medieval Ireland or something. Then we went to see it. Hoo boy, what a shitfest. I still enjoyed it, just in a "this is a crap movie" kind of way.

There are two schools of thought regarding JASON X. Either it rocked or it sucked.

It sucked.

I liked Jason X. It was dumb as fuck and put the last nail in the coffin, but I still liked it. Some of the one-liners were good, the holo-campers scene was funny, and anytime you get to see Cronenberg die it's a bonus.

I loved the horny as students too, or whatever they are. It was like we know you're doing scientific experiments and we're supposed to learn but damn we need to go have sex right now! I loved it. I hadn't watched a Friday the 13th since part 3 or something until I saw X!

If you think that blowing Jason out of an airlock into the vacuum of outer space killed him. You better watch your back man. He's out there!!!!!!!

Dude, it's a Friaday the 13th, somehow I don't think that would spoil anything for anybody!

I want Leprechaun versus Beetlejuice. Now THAT would be the little person battle to end all little person battles!

If only Hank The Angry Drunken Dwarf hadn't passed on...

A friend of mines brother actually sold a script for the next Leprachaun. It was called Leprechaun in Scotland or something, but it sounded great.

Supposedly it dealt with a RedCap stealing the Leprechaun's gold, and the Leprachaun having to get it back. However, the longer the gold is out of his hands, the more he starts to turn human. It sounded like a great direction for the series. He was supposed to have a love interest and everything, a real good hero epic for the Leprechaun. However, the budget to get it off the ground was apparently too much, so it's not going to get made, so they're just sitting on the script.
