Man, the Phantasm movies exist in a world all their own to me.....and I find that world good.

I've got no beef with this film. It's a blast, it takes the idea to the next level. Much of the stuff that happens in this franchise might not make an ounce of sense...but I at least dig the first two films.

Plus, you gotta give props to the marketing campaign for this sequel: THE BALL IS BACK!

LOL - love that.

Phantasm 2 had some good things going for it, in particular the use of drawn-out weapon building scenes that make you yell aloud "Hells yeah!". Though I seem to remember another classic sequel doing the same thing? Bizzare...

The ending to part four hints at that "awesome if it ever gets made" script that's been written since the mid nineties. Detailing a futuristic world where The Tall Man is feared by all, and has taken over most of America.

Part 2 is good, but the surrealism takes a back seat to 80's hokeyness. Mind you that's not necessarily a bad thing.

Someone needs to get a hold of Phantasm 2 and get it out on DVD

I'm thinking box set, or better, release it in a barrel with a plush dwarf inside!
