Season Two will be here before you know it.  Watch out hipsters!

Guys, the executive producer of this show has some bad news that will devastate everyone.

Barb isn't coming back.

It must've been something you said.

Fuck Barb.

Yeah I said it.  She deserved to die.

And I hope she burns in Hell!

I didn't mind Barb like some of you heartless bastards but I figured she was quite dead so it's no surprise she's not coming back.

I've watched this thing a couple of times now, and . . .

Why did anybody give a shit about Barb at all?

You people and your anti-Barb sentiments shock and appall me.

That's not an answer.

I.....uh. WAIT. What's the fuck is THAT THING behind you, Mangy?

*Points in horror*

I liked Barb just fine.  Just don't see the need to bring her back.

This is the best trailer you'll see all day:

So good.

I don't want to wait another three months for this!  Looks terrific, and bonus points for the Vincent Price/"Thriller" stuff.

Really great editing to Thriller in that trailer, but it's also overdosing on nostalgia porn.  Nevertheless, a very well put together couple minutes, all things considered.

Whoever put that thing together isn't making enough money, because there's still some in my bank account.

The difference being that this nostalgia has heart to it.

Unlike that READY PLAYER ONE trailer.

Liked both trailers myself.

I liked both, too!

STRANGER THINGS S2 looks fantastic.

You're allowed to like both. I just find this one to be much more exciting and real than the other.

Personally I don't find anything this obviously calculated to hit certain notes to be "real."  However, that doesn't mean it's bad.  As I said at the time, for the most part Stranger Things worked as intended.  I really enjoyed it.  It's what Abrams tries to do, but done well.  But it never for a second felt authentic.

"It's Abrams done well." That's the perfect way to describe Stranger Things.

Ridiculous.  I don't wear scarves.

Or plunging v-necks, for that matter.

Looks great!

I got the same vibe. Like they double downed on the "look" of the show BECAUSE of its popularity.

Yeah I turned this off once that Dragon's Lair screen popped up.

This show is so fake ugh.

Should it be called Booger Things, it's so "on the nose?"

Brilliant!

This show is something that the writers of the Big Bang Theory would have the characters write on the Big Bang Theory.

Do you remember Dragon's Lair? Yes I'm not senile.

Saving throw vs false statement based on horribly flawed reasoning!

*throws D20*

FAILED.

Looks fun.  I caught Survive, the band that does the main theme last weekend, and it definitely got me in the mood for another season.

That was a fantastic trailer. Can't wait.

I liked it! But have to agree with others in that leaning IN to the nostalgia porn facets aren't doing it any favours.

Dat Lovecraft Old One though...

Man, I am one of the first people to be down on 80s nostalgia porn, but for some reason, this show just does it for me. (I'm currently working on a paper about the first season.) That trailer was fantastic.

All in.

It had me at Halloween.

I'm already looking forward to the cold, dark October nights on which I'll be binge-watching this. The first season somehow scratched the Stephen King By Way Of Spielberg itch that I didn't even know I had. Really looking forward to more of it.

Yeah, this show is a better Super 8. Does that mean it's good? Ehhhh...

Just saw the trailer and...

Season 3 will take place during Christmas of '85 for no other reason than to have a montage of the kids opening their own Nintendo Entertainment System.

Cut to a shot of a monster and BOOM, there's your teaser.

Yeah, that Lovecraftian monster we've seen so far in the trailers is a serious escalation up from the Octodemon.

I hope it kills Steve just because he's Steve.

Fucking Steve.

And just wait for the Stranger Things revival in thirty years. It will take place this year and will prey on our inevitable nostalgia for the Twin Peaks revival.

Meta!

It's no teaser for IT.

(this is sarcasm)

You mean my non-existent teasers for Season 3 and the revival?

I suppose not.

Steve is great.
