At the start of the season I would have picked Seattle over Tennesee. Now after two weeks it's not so easy. The Titans have show competency while Seattle has shown they're still trying to figure out how touchdowns work. Seattle also has an O-line that understands protection as a theory, not a practice.

Enjoy the game Mangy, I hope it's a good one.

Seattle has two options in the offensive playbook:

"Busted play. Pocket collapse. Hope Wilson can polish a turd."

"Hope Blaire Walsh can find the uprights."

It's like Dan Quinn left with everything else.

Pulling for Mariota and the Titans, honestly.

Listening to Rich Eisen this morning he was talking about how the offense in the NFL looks so bad right now because O-lines can't seem to protect their QB. Last night was a good example. Eli kept getting sacked and had no time to throw and find open receivers. The result, scoring is way down from recent years.

I find this very peculiar, because all people seemed to talk about the last few years was that the NFL had become like a video game with tough defense being a thing of the past. I think things will improve, Sep. games are usually sloppy, this weekend looks pretty good.

That's been the topic of a lot of conversation on NFL radio as well. One person said, the talent just isn't there, especially at guard, because if you are big enough to play OL and athletic enough to play guard, a lot of times you'll get moved to DE to rush the passer. And in college, most teams spread folks out to run their offense and there aren't a lot of teams that line up and have a stout running game and that's what they focus on.

My son played all positions on the OL when he played 3rd-7th grade, and I'm glad he plays lax now because he's taller and leaner whereas if he had stuck with football, he either would have had to gain a lot of weight, or they would have to move him to LB or somewhere else. I asked him if he missed playing football and wished he played football now that he's in high school, and without hesitation he said, "No. Playing football in high school is like having a full-time job. I like lacrosse."

That moment with the super stiff-arm...hot damn. I don't even like the Seahawks (in fact, I'll be booing them in person next Sunday), but that run is galactic.
They recovered from that and actually managed to have a good defense for one year (Rob Ryan's first season) before completely imploding. He hasn't been the same since the bogus Bountygate suspension. I think he got a little taste of life outside of coaching and lost some of the drive to put in the same insane hours and attention to detail that most NFL coaches do.

We got them picks like I know you like! It just went up, so it may take a little while, as of this post, for the video to hit 1080 playability. We're playing around with a full-on podcast format this time around, so fire this one up while you're at your desk at work, or on your lunch break. Let me know what you think!

Edit: spoke too soon... Video needs a fix and will go back up first thing tomorrow morning.

Editing this thing was a bear...

Do I like the Ram's color rush uniforms?  Boy howdy!  Do I ever!

The game is going to be complete butt.

I honestly don't understand why they think these Color Rush uniforms are an enhancement.  Make the Thursday night games throwback games, at least see some classic uniforms.

FINALLY!

Should have posted the 49ers too. No plan to watch game so I'd like to see how tragic they are.

Yeah, but they already sell throwbacks, they need a FOURTH jersey to sop up fans dollars

Take classic uniforms and then just run them through some disgusting Instagram filters.

That should satisfy all parties.

Or just do a black jersey with red letters so we can look just like a division rival.

Fucking NFL.

Speaking of which. I just turned on the pre-game, and I forgot about the Niners cheerleaders' color rush catsuits.

So that's one reason to watch.

They needed to go full on tacky "Gold Rush" uniforms.  Maybe they'd score a touchdown if they could blind the opponent.

FSU's "theme" one year back in the 80s was Gold Rush, and for homecoming they came out in these all-gold uniforms that Burt Reynolds bought for them. And they were the worst thing ever. They were so gold, they almost looked like they had a green hue. They were just awful.

My brain cant process how entertaining this game has been.

Who knew that firing Jeff Fisher would help the Rams improve?

Besides everyone, I mean.

I feel like Fisher held the Oilers/Titans together in difficult circumstances and got the max out of numerous players.

That ended in about 2008.

It was bound to happen: An actual entertaining Thursday Night game .

This game was fantastic. How in the fuck did this happen?

If this season peaks in week 3 with the Rams and Niners, I'll be pissed.

I'll be disappointed if every team doesn't take a knee this weekend and every weekend. It should be like Amazing Grace and Chuck but instead of nukes the target is Trump.

Well, I wonder what the reactionaries are going to do now - a huge chunk of the NFL is taking a knee, the best player in the NBA and the best team have told the President to go fuck himself, and even MLB players are kneeling.

I hope the boycotters like NASCAR and hockey, that's all that's left.

Are NASCAR drivers in their cars for the anthem? I never watch so I don't know. I'd love for any of them to kneel. Those Repubs in the South would really go nuts
post #327 of 1047
Are the Jaguars for real this season?

They are if they play like that. But they had a decided advantage in London over a sleepwalking Ravens team not built to come back from early deficits.

I'm cautiously optimistic. Usually you get one complete Jaguars game a season. Now it's two in three weeks. I hesitate to get too excited, but damn today's game was fun.

I have never seen a team less capable of handling success than the Bucs. They win one game against a bad team and they think all they need to do is show up.

Fuckin' Browns.

Loving all the kneeling today.

No, they stand out next to their cars.

A NASCAR driver kneeling....I can't even conceive of that. I know that not all the drivers are conservatives, but I just don't see it happening, although I'm sure a handful would definitely go the whole "I definitely support their right to do so, and understand why they're doing it but it isn't for me" route.

Aaron Rodgers cannot throw left unless that's the play and it's his first read.
And these TEN vs SEA refs can get to fuck.

Well these games today were pretty damn Good! Even the lowly Browns/ Colts was pretty good.

You can't really complain that the NFL sucks and the games are terrible, at least not today you can't. And we still have tonight's game and Monday.

NASCAR already came out and said any driver who did that would be fired.

Titans/Seattle was a helluva second half, but that first half was...ugh. Penalties and long ref conferences on seemingly every other play. before the game, neither team came out. My mother-in-law said "They need to come out, they're going to miss the anthem!" It was awkward. When the teams finally came out, there was lots of booing. Of course, everybody shut up once it started and Titans fans were fawning all over the team after the game.

It was pretty awesome seeing Russell Wilson in person. The Titans had him dead to rights at least 5 times, but he scurried out. Also, Sherman should have been tossed.

I'm surprised there wasn't more.

The Bears are such trash. 2nd week in a row a bad play on ST. That coach better start teaching some fundamentals. Dude starting walking at the 10.

I'm just happy to have Hunt and Brady on my fantasy teams. If Julio ever shows up I'll be a unstoppable.

Serious question ATL fans-why is Ryan shying away from Julio. Guy is a freak. Get him the damn ball.

I just noticed Sanu is available in my league. What the fuck?

I'm 3-0 now, by a margin of 8 points thanks to Washington shutting Oakland down. I'm gonna make a move for Sanu and try to claim him. I've got more than enough talent. Truth be told, I'll replace Davante Adams just because I can't stand watching the Packers this year.

I missed everything Sunday due to prexisting plans.  I'm bummed.  Also Seattle isn't winning anything again.  Our glory days are over.  Rebuild the Kingdome.

Fucking Michael Crabtree. I'm now losing by 0.4 in my money league and he has Witten tonight. But he got hurt so oh well. And I benched Jordan Howard after last week and of curse he blew it up. 2-1 now in all leagues. At least I played Chris Thompson in 1 of 2 the 2 leagues I have him in.

Burned by most recent relationship and ready to start looking again. Ready to remember what good football looks like. Must have decent offensive line and QB, or decent prospect on board.

Flexible on distance and okay with LDR for now.

I am loving and fun to be around, and people say I have a great sense of humor. I am just as comfortable staying in and watching games on the couch as I am going out to the bar or stadium.

Looking for my partner in crime.

That Kansas City team looks nice. Just stay away from the Patriots. You don't want to know what they're into.

Indeed.

So, I just got tickets to the Lions @ Saints game on October 15th. I'll be in NOLA for a conference, so I'm gonna check another stadium off the bucket list. Tickets are section home side, 7 rows from the 45 yard line. $250 bucks each. I'm pretty psyched, and happy I got a great deal. Thanks for sucking and lowering ticket prices, Saints! See you in a few weeks!
