Hulk like pretty red hot who kicks puny humans.

Saw a crappy cam-shot version of the Comic-Con trailer before it got taken down by Disney.

They better release that shit pronto because GODDAMN!

I saw it too.  It was...  BEW TEE FULL!

Sucks that they're using THAT suit for Spidey though. And Thanos' design is...not my favourite.

The rest though...GODDAYUM!

I mean, it might be fuck ugly.  But practically speaking it would be insane for Spidey NOT to use that suit in this.

True enough I guess.

Here's the three posters CC attendees got their mits on:

Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

Man, I'm sorry but Thanos looks goofy as FUCK. Really not digging that look at all. They should have just stuck with the GOTG one. Was much better.

Bearded Cap is sexy as FUCK though.

That Thanos look is...fine.

Hopefully he doesn't wear it the whole movie.

Young Groot confirmed?

Looks like Teen Groot on that triptych poster.
I thought Gunn said it was tween Groot not teen Groot.

Gunn's calling him "Adolescent Groot."

SDCC Official Poster

Somebody done gone left that Thanos head out too long in the sun.

I squinted at Blonde Widow and was like "When did they get Naomi Watts in this??"

Thanos is probably the only thing Marvel fucked up.
I dont see Ant-Man.

Saw that leaked footage from SDCC. Reminded me of why I hate watching geek stuff with geeks. Seriously, the cheering is obnoxious.

I think the jury's still out on Thanos. The only contextualized scenes we've seen of the character are a grin at the end of the first Avengers picture, and a supremely confident verbal smackdown delivered to Ronan the Accuser in Guardians.
If Thanos is actually badass in Infinity War it will be fine. But I think it's fair to say that the setup has been weak. And now he looks like a goomba from the Super Mario Bros movie. Maybe phase whatever will have more villain work put in.
Don't get me wrong, I definitely prefer the outfit pictured below. The costume unveiled at Comic-Con makes it look like Thanos had to do some urgent rampaging while his business clothes were still at the dry cleaners'.

It's why I find it funny any time I read articles saying "Standing ovation for footage from..." I mean, yeah, your comic book movie footage is probably going to get that kind of reception at a comic book convention. Your crowd would give you a standing ovation over a logo.

That's a fair point. Screen the trailer at an AARP meeting and report on that reaction.
Maybe it's me, but Thanos kinda looks like Bruce Willis in that poster...

THAT'S what he reminded me of!

Seriously, it does take a bit of the wind out of it's sails when the BIG BAD that's been hyped up since 2012 FINALLY gets his moment to shine...and he looks like a depressed blueberry.

They should release that trailer already.

Its likely we won't see a trailer for this until sometime around October.

I'm pretty sure that's been the pattern with all of their movies that get released in May.

Being a child of the '80s, it's impossible not to see a California Raisin looking at that face.

Just noticed Bucky on the poster. Everyone out there desperate for more Bucky after 2 movies about him, brace yourselves.

Prediction: Bucky gets promoted to be the new Captain, Anthony Mackie quits the MCU in disgust and takes a job as the new Batman.

There's (reportedly) a scene of Bucky...

Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)
either arming up or fighting alongside T'Challa's forces in Wakanda

... in that Comic-Con sizzle reel.

Would love for them to release that poster for sale to the general public. There's no way I'm hitting up eBay to pay an idiotic amount of money for it.

No Captain Marvel in Infinity War: https://www.newsarama.com/35659-captain-marvel-not-in-avengers-infinity-war.html

Like the article mentioned, she was at one point supposed to be part of the new Avengers at the end of Age of Ultron. So this '90s setting and everything must be a new idea.

But I gotta say, if Avengers 4 is being set up to be Secret Invasion, that's pretty exciting. At least one of the Avengers turns out to be a Skrull for the last few movies? Cool.

Unfortunately, the characters reveals that would provide the biggest gut punches, would make the least sense.

I think that a post-Civil War Tony would work out logistically. No character dynamics are wiped out, as his only new relationship is with Spider-Man and that's established in CW.

Hawkeye would probably be a safer bet. Most of his life is offscreen. He could've been swapped out with a Skrull at any time.

It would just be great if there's a major death in Infinity War, only for this to be the cliffhanger:

Not Elektra obviously.

It just seems the creators of the MCU are specifically cribbing from storylines this last decade (Winter Soldier, Civil War, Planet Hulk, Infinity (itself a sequel of sorts to The Infinity Gauntlet)). Captain Marvel could fittingly be a loose adaptation of Annihilation, from 2006, with Avengers 4 taking bits and pieces from Secret Invasion and the Kree-Skrull War.

How can they seceretly be a Skrull if we have spent 4 or so movies with them? It would be a bunch of side characters secretly being evil. No Happy, say it aint so!

The same way Spider-Woman turned out to be a Skrull for the first 40 issues or so of Brian Michael Bendis's New Avengers.

Hawkeye is probably the most logical choice. But I also think they could go Bucky or Falcon. Maybe someone like Ross, even.

I think Skrulls are dumb, personally. I'm not a big fan of the whole "THIS SECRET PLOT WAS GOING ON THE WHOLE TIME" deal. Especially after Winter Soldier.

Okay, as far as Skrull candidates go....Im gonna say the best bet would be Tony, specially if they establish the specific moment he was replaced (between Iron Man 3 and Ultron).

Why?

First, because it would be the most damaging character to use; post IM3 Tony created Ultron, turned a blind eye to Vulture's operations for years, fractured the team by supporting the protocols in CW, and now has started recruiting/supporting an inexperienced young hero under his wing.

Second, because it would be a perfect way to keep RDJ in the MCU but not as Iron Man; RDJ clearly wants to stop or have reduced roles, and this would be perfect for him; you could even bring a new character as Iron Man.

However, my dream idea would be Marvel getting Fox to play ball, and getting the Fantastic Four back for this; have the Fantastic Four revealed as having encountered the Skrulls and kept prisioners by them as astronauts years ago, they escape and develop their powers during their escape, they crashland on an earth that is radically different to what they last saw, and have them become the lynchpin of the fight against the invasion...and replace the comic's final twist (Norman Osborn killing the Skrull queen and becoming earth's hero and new head of SHIELD) with Dr Doom.

Imagine a MCU were Dr Doom has always been aware of the invasion, and the FF's abduction, has been quietly waiting for years to make his move, and sweeps victory from the heroes and becomes Earth's mightiest champion, all part of his bigger plans to conquer earth himself with a secret cabal of supervillains (I'd say that MCU Dr Doom should be a mixture of traditional Dr Doom and his 2099 version; ruthless, brilliant and arrogant, but also motivated by his ego and self notion that his superiority means he should rule all for the betterment of mankind)

I think it woudl work.

The only way that such a reveal would work for me is if the Skrull with the character's memories actually resists its programming and ultimately sides with our heroes. Basically, if we've spent a number of movies with them, I don't want all their character development to be thrown out the window, even if they're not who we thought they were.

Tony would have to be post-Age of Ultron, because we actually get into his head and see a vision caused by the Scarlet Witch. But any time before or after Civil War seems to work!

I too thought about the moment in the comic when the ship opens and the real Spider-Woman and Mockingbird walk off, having been gone for years, but with the FF swapped out. That would be a cool moment and segue into Phase 4.

I'm telling you, post-Civil War you only have Tony as a fake in Homecoming. And he's already buddy-buddy with Peter, so nothing gets lost character wise.

This all just feels "Zola's head in a computer" to me.

One of my favorite parts of Winter Soldier!

Mine too! But we've SEEN that before.

Gimme somethin' new.

How is invasion of the body snatchers starring the MCU like Zola computer head?
