I love that the CO of the Orville is a proud toupee aficionado.

HEY!  You get that Orville CRAP out of my thread and right to fuck!

DEPLOY BARRY WOODWARD ALGORITHM!

There is an obvious similarity between Force Trees and Weridwood Trees in Westeros.

Why couldn't they be one and the same?!

And if they are the same, wouldn't Force Users be naturally attracted to Force Trees North and South of The Wall?

What if Brann is having Force visions?

Would Arya be as adept with a Light Saber as she is with Needle?

And of course Kylo Renn and Snoke would want all the Force Trees for themselves, which would lead to a full scale invasion of Westeros by The New Order.

Can you imagine Jon Snow and Daenarys teaming up not against the Night King, but against AT AT WALKERS?!

And what about the epic battle when Brienne faces off against Captain Phasma only to learn they're ....CLONES?!??!?!

You sure about that?  Looks like a very expensive plug job in the front, to me.

Could be.  If he ever boards one of my jets, I'll be sure to give his scalp a good yank and find out for sure.

A sound plan.

My best friend is engaged to a Frey. I think my incessant Red Wedding jokes have cost me a wedding invitation.

In case you were wondering, The Wall would not be physically possible without magic, according to some bloke at the annual meeting of the American Geophysical Union in New Orleans.

'I conclude that the ice wall as proposed would not be a practicable defense under typical Earth conditions," Truffer stated in the findings, "Special magical powers would be necessary to maintain its shape, even for just a few days.'

It's supposed to be stone, encased in ice, isn't it?

And spells.

Magical bullshit.

From A Wiki of Ice and Fire:

Quote:

The Wall was made to defend the realms of the First Men,[19] and the men of the Night's Watch have reportedly defended the Wall against Others and other monsters[5] for eight thousand years[20] since the end of the Long Night.[5]

According to legend, the Wall was built by Brandon the Builder with the assistance of children of the forest and giants,[5] and it is protected with ancient spells and sorcery.[21] Supposedly, Brandon placed foundations along heights wherever possible.[6] Also according to legend, the Wall is vulnerable to the Horn of Joramun.[6]

Maesters dispute if the base of the Wall was made of stone, but they generally believe builders of the Watch used sledges to transport ice cut from frozen lakes in the haunted forest.

He's so smooth.

They're not even trying to pretend she's not pregnant.

I can't be arsed to find it, but has anyone seen (or posted above) that supposedly Sophie Turner pretty much confirmed we won't be seeing S8 until 2019? Supposedly they're going to be filming until June of 2018.

Fucking June?

Well they're making the equivalant of 5 or 6 movies.

Well, also....

Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)
Remember WINTER HAS ARRIVED. My assumption is that the White Walkers will be defeated and with that defeat, seasons return to normal and we'll end with summer in full bloom.

That would mean a

Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)
flash forward many years to the future, as this Winter, or the Long Night is supposed to last many years.  As much as a decade.  Which means we'll see little Jonerys with or without one or both parents.

No, it wouldn't:

Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)
Again, my theory is that Westeros' fucked up seasons are caused, one way or another, by the White Walkers. If they're truly destroyed (and not just defeated as in the past), their effect on the seasons ends and the normal cycle begins to immediately reassert itself.

Well that's just nonsense.  We're talking hard SCIENCE here Michael, not fantasy bullshit!

I wish they would release each episode in the theaters every week. I understand why they Won't, but how awesome would that be?

I've thought that before too.  I'd definitely pay 15 bucks a week to watch a single hour of TV on the big screen (assuming it is this show).

This coming season will all be 80-100 minute episodes, IIRC.

I really don't understand why people spoiler tag their guesses at stuff. I've read every post in all eight threads, so apologies because I'm sure it's already been discussed and I just don't remember.

Maybe, just maybe...

Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)
....because it's a nice thing to do? Some people consider even speculation spoilery, as they want to go into it as blind as possible.

I am willing to put money (not real money, but, like, bitcoin) on two things happening:

1. the series finale will be two + hours

2. HBO will partner with a theater chain - probably AMC - to do a live simulcast of the finale. This will, in all likelyhood, involve the operation being run entirely by HBO to crack down on spoilers or have the episode delivered hours before a la Harry Potter's book releases.

Other monsters? WHAT OTHER MONSTERS?! King Ghidorah? Mothra? The Two headed chicken of Bristol?

Giant ice spiders.

If I don't finally get Ghost and White Walkers riding Ice Spiders, somebody fucked up.

Sir, I don't know if you've noticed this, but we spoiler tag our guesswork here.

I'm surprised HBO never followed up on their big screen experiment after the IMAX screenings of Season 4's last two episodes.  You would think they were testing the waters, and as far as I know it was a success, yet it was never repeated.

Inhumans probably did a lot of damage to the TV/Theater cross-over concept.

Spoiler-tagging fan theories?  What a country?!!?!?

I consider spoilertagging my theories a form of bragging.  Like, this shit...this shit right here...whoo boy....dis realness...don't say you wuzzn't warned...

One reason I tagged my speculation: those things that don't exist that this show is based on ...well, the guy who didn't write things that don't exist long ago gave his assumed titles for them, including the last thing that doesn't exist:

Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

So my speculation isn't only stuff I pulled out of thin air.

I'm tired, can't sleep, and maybe I'm not thinking clearly.  What?

Martin has given his list of titles for the entire series. My speculation was based on that list.

Man if Jon Bon Jovi was still around you'd be soooooo banned...

I know. I'm breaking the rules, but it's only because people were wondering why I spoiler tagged my speculation.

I thought the idea that'speculation' in this thread that was based on the books wasn't actually speculation, and didn't therefore belong in this thread? Regardless of spoiler tags?

Spoilertags are so easy, I just try to overuse them when speculating.
