Crap. There was a two month old request from Workyticket on there. He probably thought I didn't want to play with him during the Destiny 2 beta. I'm sorry Worky, if you read this!

I'm thinking of bowing out of my weekly Divinity co-op game tonight to devote some time to Destiny. Even after watching videos about the classes and weapons and leveling up, It's hard to get a grip on things. At any rate, I'll be getting my feet wet in about an hour. Looking forward to the insanity.

3 minutes till launch.

LET'S DO THIS SHIT!

Just a reminder - new GeForce drivers are up for Destiny 2 this week.

Pro Tip for leveling:

When you finish Red War Campaign missions on a planet and have unlocked the next planet do ALL the Orange Adventures first before moving on.  They will give you gear and upgrade points and invest a bunch of lore and story into the game.

Leave all the Blue missions until you are 260 at least as they are Exotic quests and doing them early doesn't make any sense.

Is this out today?

<shoots spitball at Dalyn>

I'm going to wait until the price is $40 or below, because I am a cheap bastard.

Ha!  I wasn't even kidding.  I'm so out of it I had no idea when it came out.  Honestly I thought it came out last week already.

Just a clarification because even I confused myself reading what I posted... Finish Campaign on Earth, do Orange missions on Earth before moving to Titan. Do Campaign on Titan, do Orange missions before moving on. NOT do Orange missions on second planet before resuming Campaign on second planet.

Prioritize the Adventures (which is what they are called, which Tzu is forgetting) based on the rewards.  Do the ones that give Upgrade Points first, so you can pimp out your subclass.

Always do public events when the opportunity presents itself.  Unless you are all alone, then the juice may not be worth the squeeze.

And don't forget to have fun.  Look around at the vistas, explore caves, blast fools...

I have a small flashing icon in the lower right corner of the screen that won't go away nor does it fucking indicate what it's for. Popped up around the time I got to the camp (before it opens up into a hub). Anyone know what it is? I thought maybe someone messaged me or something but I'll be damned if I can figure out what it wants me to do.

It's alerting you that you need to make your move in our Waterdeep game already!

AH! Smart game, this.

Also, has anyone started a CHUD PC clan? Is it worth doing, or just more work?

Is the small, flashing icon gone now?

Going to dive in after dinner!

Definitely worth doing. There are rewards based upon XP and doing things with clanmates that will effectively double some drops for you each week.

I have the same thing in the lower right screen too. It looks like a speech bubble and keeps flashing at me.

On console, that’s usually the symbol/location that it’s picking up audio. Could be ingame, could be your headset. Unless they’ve totally changed functionality for PC.

Ah, okay. I should probably check my audio settings and see what's in there.

Five hours in. Felt like no time at all has passed. Goddammit but this has some sweet gunplay. And the level design is fantastic. Beautifully detailed to a frankly insane degree. As I was going walkabout in the EDZ I stopped and looked at some barrels with numbers painted on them. And all the numbers were unique! Every one! In some random corner of the map! That takes dedication.

I think I'm about ready to move on to Titan. Did all the Adventures in the EDZ and a few of the Events which pop up fairly frequently. Got up to Level 9 and found an item which I guess unlocks my second sub-class? Says I have to do more Pub Events to unlock it. Is that right?

The characters you encounter are also a gas. Quite like the jovial one horned fellow that runs the PVP and the Gentleman Sniper is a delight.

I need to get some sleep but I'll check into starting a clan tomorrow, unless someone beats me to it.

Also, Scout Rifles are the tits!

I THINK that's just to let you know something is in Chat for you to read. Disappeared when I opened and closed the chat window before returning to playing some Footie at The Farm.

I'm just so impressed with how nice it looks and how smoothly it plays. I'm pretty far from a top of the range set-up but it's one of the prettiest games I can run on my system, and I don't even have everything maxed. I also need to look into picking up the soundtrack. It's pretty awesome.

Oh yeah, the music playing as you're leaving the City is especially great.

Stupid Question time: What's the key for taking screenshots? I'm totally blanking on it. And I want to show off my Robut Space Wizard.

I'm running the game in windowed full screen, so I just used the Print Screen button on my keyboard. There's probably an in-game function I have no idea about.

Yes. Yes they are.

That's probably it. I thought maybe it had something to do with the new GeForce drivers, but couldn't find anything. I haven't even looked at or opened a chat window in-game.

Time indeed does fly while playing this. Gonna dive back in after dinner.

Also; How exactly do you access the Pre-Order items? I managed to get the Emote but can't seem to find the gun and Ghost skin.

A lot of the pre-order stuff on consoles didn’t show up until you reached level 20 AND beat the campaign.

If you pre-ordered Destiny 2 than you'll have unlocked the cool Coldheart exotic trace rifle. It was the subject of a trailer, and is exclusive to pre-order customers until December.

But, perhaps wisely, you can't go pick it up and immediately annihilite everything with it. You'll need to finish the entire Destiny 2 story campaign and hit the level cap of 20 before being able to claim it: it'll be waiting for you at the Gunsmith.

Strangely, the same is true of the Kill-Tracker Ghost, another pre-order freebie. This shell displays your campaign and Cruicible kill counts on screen - but you'll only be able to nab it after beating the game and hitting level 20.

ETA: What tcjsavannah said.

Well that's fair.

I had forgotten there was white-level gear.  WTF is this shit.

The game is so much prettier and so much smoother on PC.

Hmmm I might just use my leftover WoW gold and pick this up...

It's fun as shit, I don't think you'll regret it.

So, I did a thing...

Name's Clan CHUD, a bit basic but all the good ones were already taken. I'll send invites out to everyone of you on my friends list. For those that are not, Codename#21718 go on and add me.

While watching copious amounts of PC on Twitch yesterday I learned a thing. If y'all want to know how horrible life is on console then set your FOV at 65. Apparently that is what console is locked at.

Most folks I watched were playing between 95-105. On max there the 3rd person when you go into a Titan super made me insanely jealous.
You guys are making this sound alright.

Dalyn you should use extreme guilt powers on your mom-in-law so that she looks after your little one on certain evenings, thereby allowing you to save the universe with us.

Mom in law left a long time ago.  I have the room back, I just don't ever have time anymore.  Maybe after October, when I'm not cramming horror movies in my spare time.

* Sees that November starts next week *

Sounds good!

Or more realistically after Christmas.

Hit level 20. Woop woop!

I have not even begun to reach my limit of fabulousness!

Codename's gonna burn out before we get a group together.

It was cool ending a mission today and seeing us get Clan XP.

Never!

Honestly I wasn't even trying to do that. I'm just doing the story missions and adventures on each planet and a few Lost Sectors I stumble upon (those are pretty great btw). Finished up Nessus tonight and will tackle Io tomorrow.

I feel naked now that Uriel's Gift has been taken from me.

Yeah, I'm not even level 5 yet! I kind of wish I'd done a Codename and taken this week off work for some hardocre Destiny 2ing. Ah well. You live and you learn. Enjoying what little I've played so far.

By the way, is it only Codey who can accept new clan members? Jonathan Parker sent a request under the name Rockbollocks but I'm not sure if I have the power to accept him.

Good question. I'm guessing it's limited to the founder?

Just got to level 9 this afternoon. Do I need to be saving anything I'm picking up until I hit 20? I keep turning stuff in in the hubs as I play.

This is the first new game my roommate's watched me play that he wanted to immediately get too. He's holding off until the first of the month though.

I've seen a few people complain about the lack of a general chat but I LOVE it. It's so much more immersive not to be fighting the forces of evil only to look down and see four random people arguing about Donald Trump or just spamming nonsense over and over.

Tell him he better hurry up in case it sells out, now that it's 2017's best selling game! (On a serious note, I'd love to know how many millions Bungie/Activision have made from this game.)

Codename can appoint a few Admins that will be able to accept members and do various clan related things.

Sorry I was sleeping. I'll promote you and Jacob to Admins, since you were the first members to join, so you can approve people in my absence. Jacob, your roomie is more than welcome to join when he gets the game.

I'll join this dumb group when I get the game, but I don't want any problems from you pushy admins.  I'm a bad boy who can't be controlled see.
