This felt like 2 really good episodes, mashed together into a single pretty unfocused one.
On a more positive note, the opening with Terrance and Phillip was great.
Well, it -is- half of two episodes, since next week is part two!
South Park just had Trump nuke Canada. Perhaps now we won't have to see any more mind-blowingly ignorant editorials about how they never pick a side.
For me, that was an all-timer.
The dating co-workers (plus blissfully ignorant bonus Butters!), the Whites, the Stranger Things / It references, managing to once again effortlessly fold the Heidi/Cartman romance into social commentary (on self-victimization this time)... and the cutest damn thing I've seen in a long time (Ike on the dog, of course).
Plus, the speech about not shooting the President, even in a satirical format, and the punishment being as unfunny as Kathy Griffin for 30 years.
And, "He's not trying to save Christmas. He's terrorizing our kids and shitting in the woods."
I mean, that really sums the last year up pretty succinctly!
Save for a few amusing moments, this was a weak ending to what's been a run of weak seasons as of late. The satire has gotten toothless and unfocused but it's been twenty-one seasons. It was bound to lose its luster at some point.
