Region 2 Ring

So I was reading the lovely updates today and the announcement of Ring to DVD makes me all gooey inside (DO NOT pursue your sickie lil thoughts you pervies )

Anyhow, I heard that the PS2 is able to play Region 2 DVD's, is this true? I dunno if I should post this in the DVD section of the boards, but it's got a horror angle to right? Right.

So does anyone if this is true or not? Anyone? Please? I want to see this movie SO BADLY I will buy it if I can watch it on my sister's PS2...and then I will review it for all you beautiful creetures.

MY GOD. I was trying not to reply to this right away, I know how much Blofeld hates that, but C'MON PEOPLE! Hasn't anyone heard of 'Ring'? This is great news.

And to answer your question creeture, no it cannot play region 2 out of the box. Sorry.
