This loss, it's a one run game right now, is on two big factors (both Dave Roberts related):

1.)Bad bullpen usage.  Don't ask Jansen, who pitched yesterday, to go two innings (and why'd you yank the starter so early?).

2.)The absolute inability of the Dodgers to take intelligent swings with a man on third and only one out and get that insurance run across.

This series is going to destroy my AM productivity. What a game.

Considering how bad traffic is getting out of there, she should be home by sunrise.

Shouldn't surprise anyone really that this happened.....

The only thing that would have been better is if this guy's body was used for the Astors pitchers to warm up on.

So the Cubs, Nats and Yankees have all responded to seasons where they were within a whiff of the World Series by... firing some or all of their coaches.

Cubs at least weren't stupid enough to fire Madden... yet.

You forgot to mention the Red Sox. They fired John Farrell, but at least now they have Alex Corra, who I didn't even know was coaching.

It the Nats are smart they get Giradi. Not sur what the Yankees were thinking. Joe always got more out of nothing and had to deal with a ton of baggage like AROD and the last year of Jeter. Shame the Red Sid didn’t wait.

Maddon is there as long as he wants to manage. A rehaul of their long time coaching staff with fresh ideas and perspectives was warranted. I have zero issues with this.

Common Astros. True to form this game has had some truly amazing baseball, and some truly painful sloppiness.

The Dodgers are keeping this too close for comfort.   Houston should be comfortably ahead right now.

It wasn't pretty, but I'll take it. Way to go, Peacock. 2nd longest save in World Series history..... and his first. This series is nuts.
So what do you guys make of Guriel’s “Racist” gesture after he hit the homerun?

On the plus side it’s been a great series so far.

What's with the quotation marks?

Well THIS is fucking ugly.
LOL Giles.

Houston's bullpen will be their undoing.

Houston Astracists struggling early.
Hard to make a team less sympathetic than the Yankees, but the Astros managed it.
Logan continues to strike blows for racial equality.

Hoo boy, we got a ballgame.

Couldn't happen to a nicer guy.

I get not rooting for Guriel after that gesture... but it's not changing my absolute hatred of the Dodgers and their fans.  They'll probably win anyway.  I just want some exciting baseball at least.

Who is this Mchugh hump? You gotta get him out of this game now.

/sigh

Hate saying it, Astros asked for that. Guy comes into a game and walks the first 2 batters and you pay no mind? This isn't a May afternoon against the Twins.

LOL McHugh.

Happy the Astros tied it up again, but the all or nothing nature of baseball nowadays really bugs me.

Folks need to walk more. But this game is ridiculous. Would be nice to not go extra innings.
Ok, I meant the ASTROS need to walk more instead of chopping wood when they're at 3-1. Fuck mchugh common
post #132 of 224
Thank lucifer.

Alright McHugh, I'm big enough to say you looked better in the 6th.

These two managers do seem to think they've each got another series after this one to keep guys rested for.

But the result's a fun series, so I'm not complaining.

This.... is a surreal game.

Like a Coors field special going on tonight.

This game is crazy.

As a Giants fan, I think it's ridiculously unfair that these teams get to score a run without needing a walk, two singles and an error.

I did say the Astros weren’t going to let the balls go by like the Cubs did.

Even money says Bumgarner would have one of the singles.

Hell, 2014 Bumgarner by himself would probably be up like 5-1 in this game.

Fuck it, just put Verlander in.

Both these teams are so good I don’t see either one winning 2 in a row. Which means we’re getting a Game 7 on Wed, cause I don’t see another comeback for the Dodgers.

Astros' offensive coordinator needs to keep calling this home run play. Dodgers dime package has nothing for it.

Where are the bunts? The bloops? The dribblers that go 15 feet for a hit?

The only thing I recognize is the really, really, REALLY shitty bullpens.

Games 2 and 3?

Oh sure, walk the leadoff hitter. Why break tradition?

Seriously. Verlander. Like right now.

Assuming Verlander didn’t throw his side session today it would be perfect.
