Hang in there guys. We had some bad fires up here in the Bay Area a couple months back, so hope you all stay safe.

I am safe where I live but some of my coworkers are in harm's way.  One who lives in Sylmar had to evacuate and has not been able to come in for 2 days.  Others are worried about the skirball fire.  Yesterday we had a view of pure smoke from our office, today was a little better.

There have been plenty of other fires here and closer to me (griffith park) but this is way more apocalyptic .. sort of.  Maybe its the dryness?

Sorry, duh, it's the winds that are fueling this.

Saw a few episodes. It's not bad to be honest! Nothing great either but got some good laughs out of me.

I hope God's wrath spares you Chewers living in that den of sin.

For real though, hope everyone and their loved ones is safe.

I hope Ron Howard has stepped in to finish your film.

Enjoy the lovely flavor of wood in your lungs that I had to deal with this past summer LA chewers.  It will be annoying as sin.  Also, stay safe.

Yes don't burn to death or from smoke inhalation.

It's super nasty out here, but fortunately I'm down by Culver City away from the fires.  The air quality, however, is rotten all over the county and downright dangerous is some areas.  There are at least four MAJOR fires across the area and none are remotely contained yet.  It's the worst I've ever seen it here in 13 years.

Reports make it sound like LA, as a city, could burn to the ground.  Is this true?

No, the city of LA is not in that much danger compared to Ventura County.  The big fire is up there, and there are 3-4 others closer to the LA.  The wind is what cannot be understated, its nasty.  Monday we could smell the burn inside the office.

I'm suspecting arson in one or two of these. The smell of smoke isnt quite what it was yesterday.

I didn't even know about any of this until I saw Brad's post in the Work thread. Stay safe everyone!

Some of the footage that I've seen from dash-cam videos on the freeways has been horrific.  It looks like people are literally driving through the fires of hell.

Somewhere on the mountain, Harvey Weinstein sacrifices yet another young starlet to Lord Xurr, The Black Prince Of The Fourth Ring Of Hell, Eater Of Sins, And The One Who Hides All The Things You've Lost, in order to wipe the world's memory of his crimes.

Punishing them for their sins by allowing them to work from home because the 405 was shut down.
