Auckland - The organisers of a New Zealand erotica expo have given out 1 000 vibrators on the streets of Auckland to celebrate what it called "international orgasm day" on Wednesday.
"Everyone should embrace international orgasm day whether solo, in couples or as part of a group," said Fiona Gibb of the Erotica Adult Lifestyle Expo.
"It's all about acknowledging the pleasure and delight from being in tune with your sexuality," she said.
Gibb said the day was further evidence that people were becoming more open about sex.
Erotica Adult Concepts and Lifestyle Expo holds a show in Auckland every year.
In June, a major British sex shop chain, citing a survey indicating that 80 percent of women faked their climax during intercourse, declared July 31 to be Britain's National Orgasm Day. - Reuters "
