I was recently going through my old comics collection and started re-reading some Sgt. Rock and Our Army at War comics, and damn I had honestly forgotten how great these suckers were. Rock may well be the best war stories to come out of the comics since Harvey Kurtzman's days with EC. I recommend them to anyone who enjoys a good read.

A grand and epic look at few outsiders surviving the self-destruction of a corrupt and unstable culture. This film is worth studying.

This film boasts an incredible story and a very impressive soundtrack. Trainspotting includes graphic scenes of drug use, sex and death. One of the finest films to come from Scotland, this movie...

Bruce Willis was attached to a Sgt. Rock project several years ago. This went nowhere, and saddened me.

Evidently, Cruikshank, nobody likes cool old comics like Sgt. Rock, on account of they're all into their costumed superhero-sissy boys in tights and capes, festooned for the big party they have every month with the villains.

My dad gave me all his Sgt. Rock comics a few years back. I read every mutha f*ckin one of em. Bruce Willis as the Sarge woulda been great. I also got some old Sgt. Fury and His Howling Commandos. Nick Fury is cooler than Sgt. Rock nowadays (unless he's still dead), but back in the day, Rock was the man. Fury had cooler bad guys though...Nazis with iron claws, the Yellow Dragon, Hydra, Baron Hydra...
But back to Sgt. Rock...Remember that time the grenade went off too close too his ears and he went deaf for the whole issue? Or how about that guy that made the rose grow in the desert? Or that medic who couldn't kill, cause it was against his beliefs? Or that guy who...

I got all my Sgt. Rock's from my oldest brother. Those are some of the coolest comics ever written. I really wish someone at DC would some of those stories into reprint editions, because Rock and Easy Co. were the shiznit. I'm kind of surprised it didn't happen during the whole 'let's be aware of WWII' phase everybody went through when 'Saving Private Ryan' was out.
Oh, and DJ? I have to disagree about Fury having cooler villians, for the simple fact that Sarge had to contend with the Iron Major, who was my absolute favorite bad guy when I was a kid.
