neil gaiman's death movie

wow.

pretty interesting move for warner bros. to let neil gaiman helm the film adaptation to "death: the high cost of living". if the project stays true to the vision of an "independent", small budget, character/plot driven film done according to gaiman's point of view, we could be in store for one mighty cool flick.

i'm intrigued by the possible casting, and the expansions gaiman admitted he'd have to make to flesh the story out into a full length feature film. i'm actually looking forward to this more than any other future comic-book based movies because i think it would naturally have the best shot at staying true to the tone and heart of the original work.

geez, what next, frank miller writing and directing "sin city"?

If that happens, I will run through the streets proclaiming my happiness.

Frank Miller rocks.

Frank Miller writes it, David Fincher bats cleanup and directs it.

If this actually happens, It would reveal the twist ending to my life, just like in the Sixth Sense. As I walk into the theater to see a Miller-written, Fincher-directed Sin City movie, I would realize that I am actually dead and in Heaven.

although, now that I think about it, his writing for Robocop's 2 and 3 sucked pretty hard.

Thanks-I was just about to mention that.

He was writing for THE MAN, trust that he'd handle his own stuff with delicacy.

i agree with nick that miller would definitely treat his own creation with more care considering the critical flop that was robocop 2 and 3.

but phenomenal call on suggesting david fincher to direct such a project... mmm, fincher doing a noir flick.

gurgle.

who would play marv? maybe a beefed up michael madsen?

Good Question. Floating here in my computer hover chair, and looking at my McFarlane Toys "Marv" figure, I realize that there is only one that could play Marv. Some sort of Granite block with a face.

I agree with the theory that Frankie boy would treat his own work with more flair, I just had to throw that in there cause my first post wasn't really funny enough.
