Deadpool

I figured rather than getting off my ass, I would just have you guys check this for me. Has Deadpool vanished from shelves across the globe?

I ask, becuase the one small store I frequent (due to its proximity to my bathroom being least) hasn't had this months issue up for a long time.

I suppose since I live in one of the top ten metro areas in the country I could go look for it elsewhere... but then I would have to put pants on...

It's still being solicited, issue #43 is the latest. I stopped reading it around #20. I sorta lost interest after Ed McGuinness left

YEah, it's still coming out, but I think it's soon to be cancelled.

I haven't read but maybe one issue since Priest started writing it. That was kinda the final straw after EMC left.

Just went to the mall and picked up the last TWO damn issues. It is alive and well.

Read it. Love it. Live it.

Are there any Deadpool readers out there that are excited about this prospect? Who would you cast if this became a movie?

Logan, I have to admire your complete and total unwillingness to let this thread die.

That said, who's writing Deadpool these days? Marvel doesn't seem to be getting behind it very much, so it must not be a name that they can push.

I would have to get a book to check. Priest I think, though he may be leaving. I am a fan of the book and not so much the names that come and go.

BTW, Anyone have a set of the early Deadpools (1-10) that they wanna part with?

I have issues #1, #2, and #3, but you can't have em.

I loved the Ed McGuinness stuff, but Ian Churchill and another good guy did the two limited series and they were amazing too. Maybe Madureira.

Completely FORGOT about the 4-issue limited series! Have those too. Slayback was pretty cool.
Just went down and grabbed my Deadpools.

I have the first series 1-4 (Nicieza/Madureira), the second series 1-4 (Waid/Churchill), and 1-5 of the ongoing series.

Does the ongoing series have merit?

Those first issues I have are great. Witty stuff from Deadpool, as it should be.

From what I've read, Bruce Campbell would be good as the voice of Deadpool, if not the man himself.

I love Deadpool as a character, but I never really got the chance to get into the series.

Unfortunately, I never found a good "jumping on" point, so like Preacher, I'll be getting acquainted with this book posthumously.

Deadpool has went way downhill.

It used to be one of the first books I read when I bought my comics, now I usually wait till the guy at the comic store isn't looking and out it back out on the shelf.

The art suffered, and I could stay as long as the story was good, but the story has started to suck and I can no longer support it.

Nick, these other "reports" are too short-sighted... there is a plan in store. The series is good.

Deadpool saving mankind's free-will? Wonderful!

With talks of the death of comic-dom (a slowdemise), I must insist that you people GET OUT THERE, and find a fucking book!

Deadpool is my cup of tea. Though it IS universal in its appeal, you may want something low-brow. That's fine.

Just get off your ass. Superman did it for you, and all you did was plunk down a dollar-fifty.

This last issue, features what I believe to be a satire of the "adopting an orpahned young sidekick" routine. "Pool Boy" is the kids name.

Classic.
