So I'm covering this film for Fetal, trying to assemble a page-and info-aside from the casting of Michael J. Fox and (possibly-it is speculated that he in fact finished his role before he died) Jim Varney, and the appearance of three pictures that don't give away much-is not forthcoming. Execs have seen test footage, no one's seen a script-until now, but everyone has said that Disney's 40th (yes-40TH!) animated feature will be a combination of traditional cel animation and computer animation, and that it will not (yes-NOT) be a musical! We also know that it is a futuristic Sci-Fi tale of adventure and discovery.
Ring a bell?
Hmm-futuristic Sci-Fi adventure...cel and computer animation hybrid...no musical numbers...
Did the A.E. stand for Atlatis Exploration?
Now, this thing has been in production for a loooong time, and it is commendable that it seems to be a step away from the usual Disney fodder-but with the failure of Titan A.E.-how much more risky does Atlantis seem now?
Just wanted to throw that out there and see what people thought...get back to me...
