i actually didnt care for this "time/reality" caper.
This plot line was the one that made me quit buying x comics, and I had been collecting for 13 YEARS!!

I hate when they fuck with all the history and flow of timelines!!!

I even found stuff to like in Secret Wars 2.

The Age of Apocalypse is the one where everything was re-invented in a new universe with Apocalypse and his henchman Mr. Sinister, Cyclops (yep!), Holocaust (new character-cool!) are the threat.

All of the characters have been changed, moved to different teams, and it's all quite amazing.

A rare success as far as mini-series' go.

All 5 X-Titles ended and became new titles for 4 issues (except for X-Man, which kept going), and there were 2 awesome bookends (X-Men Alpha & Omega).

Good stuff.

Madureira's X-men art and to a slighly lesser degree Bachalo's Generation Next art were STUNNING.

Interesting story.

I liked the harder, meaner Colossus.

God that seems like such a long time ago. That was right after I first started collecting.

I LOVED AoA. Have every issue but X-Man #1 (but I've got the gold collection of that to compensate)

Nick, you have Stryfe's Strike File? It was a one-shot that came at the tail-end of The Executioner's Song. It was basically a bunch of files on miscellaneous mutants. It gave a clue that Illyana (Colossus' little sister, otherwise known at one point as Magik, from the New Mutants) would soon die of the Legacy Virus.

ANYWAY, that comic perpetually confused me. Holocaust IS IN THAT ISSUE. Very little was told about him, and I can only remember that it was about how much of a mystery he was.

And according to AoA, Holocaust was formally Unus, the Untouchable. Real asshole, that guy. The only comic I've seen him in this side of the universe was a early-to-mid 90's Marvel Holiday Special. Not sure what year, but Ghost Rider saved a blind kid, Franklin Richards had his own story, there were lyrics to "Rogue" (to the tune of "Vogue"), etc., etc...

And now you know.

Let's keep this one alive! I love this topic!
