I could pick one (Near Dark) up for you if I see one tomorrow. Chances are I won't cause I got the next to last copy at one of the Buys.

I can do free shipping from my parents work and give you a chewer discount.

And about Tart. I'll see Bijou in anything, but that flick looks like shite. Tell me how it is.
That's real nice of you T. But it's not necessary. I'm backlogged on watching shit as it is. And then tomorrow hits with Jackie and Pulp. I can wait to watch ND. But I appreciate it man. Very cool of you.

I will report back on Tart. That's my kind of movie: fucked up rich kids and hot chicks, but yeah, it doesn't sound like it came off too well.

Great sig T. And buy what you want. Fuck that dude.
Is Birthday Girl good? Besides that scene where Nic is laying on that table half-naked?
If you're expectations are kept low and you want to fuck Nicole Kidman, it's entertaining.
It could of been better, but Kidman gives me a huge boner so it all works out.

Lacks suspense of any kind, but it's passable entertainment that'll I watch again.

And thanks about the Sig, I love The 'Burbs. Dig yours too.

I hate myself for buying Jackie Brown early. I could of got both for the price I payed. Oh well, got a few extra viewings out of it.

And for curiosity's sake, is that the CE of Dusk or the one disc?
Pulp Fiction, 15.99 at Worst Buy. The had a big Pulp and Jackie promo stand right next to the registers so I only had to be in the shithole 1.5 minutes.

I'm usually not a romantic movie kind of guy, but Don Juan really won me over. Johnny Depp's character might be nuts, or he might be the legendary Don Juan. He tells stories of his many loves and teaches big old Marlon Brando to seize the day and romance Faye Dunaway. (Hey, that rhymes.)

I don't need to own it, but I would definitely watch it again.

The one disc. Guess that would be too good to be true to be getting the CE, eh?
Tape was good T. Strong flick. Loved the camera after the coke snort. Hawke and Leonard and Uma were all real good. Rewatchability is a question but a flick to share with friends.

Damn, you're buying a lot lately.

I hope to pick up Pulp Fiction, Jackie Brown, and From Dusk Till Dawn tomorrow if Best Buy is still having that deal....
At my local BB, the copies of JACKIE BROWN and the bonus copies of FDTD were gone Tuesday night. Ali was only able to snag PULP FICTION for me.

It's got this funny trivia track, that's a little bit annoying and a little bit insightful, in equal measures. It's got a lot of navel-gazing on it. The funniest sequence on the track is a part discussing the chopper Butch takes from the pawnshop. It reads, roughly: "The word GRACE written on the motorcycle tank is highly symbolic. By rescuing Marcellus Wallace from his assault, Butch has been redeemed in the eyes of God for his murder of the boxer the night before. He has experienced true grace."

[Pause]

"Grace was also the name of Quentin's long-time girlfriend at the time the movie was filmed."

Too funny.

I acquired a membership to CostCo last night. I forgot how cheap their DVD and CD prices are. Jackie and Pulp for $16.88 each. I won't be able to take advantage of any sales this week, so it's comforting to know I'll be able to pick them up cheap there.

And the 5-disc LOTR set is going to be only $49.99. If I can't pick that big bastard up right away, there's my safety net.

CostCo muffins are, as the kids say, "the bomb."
It's too cheap not to buy DVDs.
Sweet fucking deal of Marnie. Simply one of my favorite films ever.
Well, yeah, unless you want to try to make your way through the vast myriad of films you haven't seen yet. I saw 10 movies I'd never seen before last month through Netflix for $20. I wouldn't watch them all again multiple times if I owned them, and I couldn't drop $150-$200 per month to own that many movies.

I do agree, however, that spending $4 to rent LOTR or something isn't a good move.

Fuck that shit.

Grow a pair, buy sight unseen.

Be proud to say you own copies of She-Freak, Sleepaway Camp, and 3000 Miles To Graceland...
3000 Miles to Graceland was one of my better sight unseen purchases.

Yesterday I bought at Best Buy:

We Were Soldiers (14.99)
Audition (17.99)
Pulp Fiction (13.49)
Jackie Brown (13.49)

Today I got in the mail:

Versus (bootleg) - 19.99 off ebay.
You finally got your Audition. Thank god.
Damn. I was ready to order both Gremlins and Time After Time from Amazon and I discover an odd hole in my bank account. I have to check with my bank before I can do anything. Fuck!

Glad you enjoyed. It's true that rewatchability is a question, I've only watched it twice. But I do give it out to my friends to watch alot.

And I got you on that coke scene, my minds kinda mush right now, but I think I know exactly what you are talking about.
Except for Bijou and Mischa Barton is a bathtub, Tart was real boring.

And to be honest, Pulp Fiction didn't dazzle me like it used to. Camera-work bothered me last nite. But I was a little distracted too.
Tuesday was a very good day for me. I finally got paid for doing this website and promptly blew all my money on DVDs.

8/20:

Pleasantville
The Big Lebowski
The Sixth Sense: Vista Series

And I ordered

Rurouni Kenshin - Heart of Sword
Rurouni Kenshin - Between Life and Death
Rurouni Kenshin - Faces of Evil
Rurouni Kenshin - Blind Justice

(Basically six of the eight DVDs covering the Shi-Shi-o arc)
Friends: Season 2

Damn, Hellblazer! Some good flicks there for a sweet price.

I love THE EMPEROR AND THE ASSASSIN. In fact, I prefer it over the slightly overrated CROUCHING TIGER (though they really aren't the same type of film).
I've never seen it. But it comes highly recommended by people who's tastes I trust, so I figured that I be a fool to pass it up when I could snag it for five bucks.
Would be a fool, even.

Man, this "no edit feature" is doing wonders for my post total.
