GREAT news

"Chasing Amy" will be out on DVD before "Dogma"! Thank the maker! That would have been like Universal releasing The Lost World before Jurassic Park... or perhaps Return of The Jedi coming to DVD before "Empire" or "A New Hope".

Anyway, looks like the "Amy" DVD will be a direct port of the great Criterion laserdisc and will be out in April.

One, thing though: the commentary features musings and blabber from almost every soul on Earth EXCEPT for Jason Lee! What the living f*ck is up with that? Smith and Co must have it in for the one who overshadows them. First he gets a lame role in "Dogma", and now this? Well, at least they can use the "it was from the laserdisc" excuse... but what were they thinking THEN?

Anyway, for more info...destroy: <A HREF="http://www.viewaskew.com/news/jan00/2.html]http://www.viewaskew.com/news/jan00/2.html[/URL" TARGET=_blank>

I have the laserdisc the DVD is a port of.

Pay attention to the color bars.

Fun stuff.

Kevin Smith's best film by a long shot.

Yeah, me to. What's the problem with 'Dogma' anyway? Man, you people are strange.

Oh boy... where do we begin? Nick? Micah? Perhaps one of my fellow "Dogma" see-thruers will chime in. I'm a bit exhausted of the whole debate.

"Man, you people are strange."

And, from a site named "CHUD", you expected.... ?

Yes, it will be part of the Criterion Collection.

Great cut scenes, although they didn't add the scene where Joey Lauren Adams has surgery to repair her hideous voice.

You know what, though, I'd have her in my harem.

Wait until the draft.

I'm pretty sure that Joey Lauren Adams and Jennifer Tilly share the same voice as the result of a childhood accident involving a tube of crazy glue and a whoopie cushion. They communicate telekeneticly with each other to let the other one know when she'll have to speak.
