I don't own a DVD player. I posess two laserdisc players and 127 discs. I just added the Corruptor and Episode I. I feel no need to buy a DVD player.

That said-I like the new appendage a lot, you and Nick made it look great, and I'm looking forward to the unique CHUD perspective on the format-because while I'll never purchase a DVD player, PSX2 is right around the corner.

And I think it plays those DVD things...

Yeah, when you buy a PS2 you'll then be the proud owner of a DVD player. I have noticed that many laserdisc purists have been adament about sticking with their format, and I respect that. But I've also noticed that those who have decided to dive into DVD has done so completely and never looked back.

Still, PS2 is going to be HUGE for many reasons, and one is the affect it will have on the DVD market. I'm already starting to think of some cool things we can do on the Sewer when PS2 time rolls around.

Damn. You know, I really am gonna want a PS2 when it comes out, but I already have a DVD player (couldn't live without it) and I'm really used to not paying for my games for the PSX. I just gotta hope there's a mod chip for the PS2 when it finally comes out. Any word on that? Anyone heard anything about it?

Yeah Carl, you could do a cool contest where you give away a PS2 to the first guy named chenzzo that drops by.

Did anyone see the news reports from Japan when they released it there? Complete fanaticism, people were lined up into the hundreds to buy it
