Aliens Vs. Predator (and a marine with a big ol' gun...oooh, scary)

I just got this thing for a measly $10. I love the game (while the multi-player stages SUCK). Only thing I hate is that there isn't a save spot anywhere to be found in a level. I go to all that hard work of killing and maiming for fun and profit, and I accidently get set on fire one time and it's all over. Back to the beginning. I HATE that. The blood splatter effects are pretty sweet as well.

The Alien is pretty cool to play as. Being able to climb on any surface is the best. Only complaint is that it's kinda hard to get the jaws to work.

The marine is ok. Plenty of authenticity from the movie (sound effects, design, etc). I like the tracker, night vision, and flares (nice touches). The weapons are fun to play with. The mini-gun and smart gun were meant to be together. Sadly, this guy's just a meatbag waiting to be opened by an alien species.

The Predator is fun. I like the zoom function and all the weapons it DOES have. The Medkit (and it's use) is such a nice compliment. Sadly, it's left out a few details. The net gun. MAN, that woulda been cool. You could make the guys fly across the room, pin him like a fly, and kill him without touching him. The Aliens could get pinned, too. Then, as soon as they bleed, they get out, badly injured. The spear? Nowhere to be found. That could've been so bad-ass. You chuck it, it flies through a wall, hits a guy, and you have to retrieve it. The maskless vision. When he gets knocked down, the opponent snatches the mask off, and he sees blood red (the second movie failed to make his vision different without the mask; I'm guessing this one wore contacts). The self-destruct mode? Not there. Hey, if things get bad...Also, the shoulder cannon is pretty damn weak looking. Why aren't the red dots as cool as in the movie? They're also supposed to burn through things. The predator's also supposed to be able to jump really far and high. Wazzup?

DJ, there is a patch for the game at Fox Interactive.com that allows you to quick save anywhere in the game. Trust me, it makes it a shitload cooler.

Oh, yeah. I forgot to mention that installing it on my little laptop here maxes out my memory. If I want to play it, I have to go to my dad's house out of town...When your dad has a better computer than you, it's a saaaaad thing...

Ash, don't you know something about that?

Oh, hey. Anybody know of any OTHER patches? I'm always on the lookout for more cool add-ons...
