He played the Metro. I just got back. I just did my ritual Rollins after-show shower/bruise count-this event's tally-a surprisingly low eight. I didn't get to talk to Henry much at all, but I did meet the new band (VERY tight, very blues-oriented), and Henry signed a shitty print of a drawing I did for him years ago-I told him he had the original and he said-"Why yes-I know..."
I told him that was comforting and asked him how he remembered.
"I have...the MIND..."
He grinned, I grinned-I thanked him. Shook hands-ROCK POWER was transferred...and I am fully recharged. I won't want to hang myself for another year.
The band played for a hair shy of two hours. It was godly. The new album is great. They did an MC5 cover and TWO covers of old Thin Lizzy stuff-Yess!
I AM ALIVE!
I'm going to go e-mail Hank right now!
