10 Best Live Shows You've Ever Seen

Post'em. I couldn't get mine down to 10, it's 12, but I left out the personal comments. I'm only listing opening bands if I felt they contributed to the greatness of the show. But do it however you want. I might be a little fuzzy on some of the dates. And yeah, local bands count.

1. The First Lollapalooza (Jane's Addiction, Ice-T, Rollins Band, Butthole Surfers, Siouxsie and the Banshees, Nine Inch Nails, Living Color) - Lakewood Ampitheatre, Atlanta, GA 1991.

2. Fishbone - UGA Legion Field, Athens, GA 1989.

3. Sun Ra and his Arkestra - King Center, Miami, Fla, 1989 AND Variety Playhouse, Atlanta, GA 1991.

4. Liquid Mice - The Shoebox, Athens, GA 1994.

5. Sonic Youth - UGA Legion Field, Athens, GA 1995.

6. Ramones w/Dead Elvis - Center Stage, ATlanta, GA 1988.

7. Meatmen w/The Chosen, Psychedelicatessan, Steven Stilleto and the Switchblades - Cameo Theatre, Miami Beach, Fla, 1987.

8. Fugazi w/Superchunk, Unrest - 40 Watt Club, Athens, GA 1993.

9. ? - Frijoleros, Athens, GA, on various occasions 1992-94.

10. REM w/Minutemen - James L. Knight Center, Miami, Fla 1985

11. Butthole Surfers - Masquerade, Atlanta, GA 1989.

12. REM w/Indigo Girls - Omni, Atlanta, GA 1989.

2) Bis/2000/ Echo Lounge.

3) Robbie Williams/1999/ Cotton Club

Actually, yeah, I did. Alot of it was stuff I was already familiar with, but that Beth Orton song was really beautiful, and I like the Sarah Harmer song alot too. And it's nice to have "Me and Julio", I didn't have a copy of that and it's a great song.

Uh, as close to order as I can come:

1)[b]Tom Waits[b], Chicago Theatre, Chicago: fucking incredible.

2)Clash of the Titans, Alpine Valley, East Troy, WI, Aug 91: Megadeth, Slayer, and Anthrax with Alice in Chains opening. AND I made out with 3 different women the night before. It was a good weekend.\m/:mad\m/

3)Helmet, 3 times: to quote DaveB, "these guys give a frog's ass something to look up to"

4)Lollapalooza 92, Alpine Valley, East Troy, WI: Ministry. Pearl Jam. Soundgarden. AND we saw an impromptu acoustic set by Cornell and Vedder on the side stage.

5)Bulletboys, Barney's, Oshkosh WI: I always argue about this with DaveB, but he wasn't really a fan of the band; I say it's the only concert where I was ON-stage with a multi-platinum band, hanging with all my friends, and it was a pretty good show regardless.

6)GWAR, The Rave, Milwaukee, WI: for sheer entertainment spectacle, nobody beats GWAR. Absolute maximum value for your dollar, IMO.

7)Smithereens, NMU Fieldhouse, Marquette, MI: sentimental reasons - the first show I went to unsupervised (yeah, it was in high school, but I grew up 200 miles from nowhere), and the Smithereens are fucking criminally underrated.

8)Danzig w/Trouble, Riverside Theatre, Green Bay, WI: Front row center for Danzig, who I was BIG into at the time - this was touring in support of Lucifuge, I believe. My ribs were sore for a week and I couldn't hear for 3 days.

9)The Exotics, tons of times: local Milwaukee surf-rock combo, but they fucking ruled. Besides, isn't any excuse to put on ugly Hawaiian shirts and drink heavily a good one?

10)Big Bad Voodoo Daddy w/The Blue Hawaiians, The Rave, Milwaukee, WI: I thought the Hawaiians were way cool with their tiki-lounge vibe, and BBVD were the icing on the cake. Very fun show.

Y'know, I'm looking at these and thinking "I've gotta get out more....."

Honorable mention to the Violent Femmes at Summerfest last year - does it count as being there if you can't see the band for the entire show and were too drunk to remember the second half clearly?

1. Los Amigos Invisibles/Soul Coughing, The Tennessee Theatre, Knoxville, 1998
Incredible band, incredible show, incredible cartoons running in the background. Incredible that I got their early enough to sit in the fourth row.

2. Calla/Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, The Tabernacle, Atlanta, 2002
My favorite band ever, and Nick stood six feet in front of me for almost the whole show.

3. missed the opener/Stone Temple Pilots, Starwood Ampitheater, Nashville, 1997
A long, wonderful outdoor show. Very impressive.

4. Man or Astroman?, The Mercury, Knoxville, 1996
The loudest thing I've ever heard, and the weirdest show I've ever seen.

5. Suicide Machines/Rocket from the Crypt/Rancid, 328 Performance Hall, Nashville, 1996
I just stayed in the pogo pit and watched everyone else get moshed into little pieces. Hours of raucous, deafening fun.
I don't really get out much, but I have had the chance to watch a few scorchers:

The best:
1. Portishead - Roskilde festival June 1998

The rest, in no order
- Spiritualized - Agora Ballroom, May 2002
- Radiohead - Blossom Music Center, August 2001
- Rage Against the Machine - JAR Arena, August 1997
- Roni Size/Reprazent - Peabody's Down Under, November 1997
- U2 - Gund Arena, May 2001
- George Clinton w/ Parliament - unknown venue March 1998
- Kraftwerk - Roskilde Festival, June 1998
- Jon Spencer Blues Explosion - Roskilde Festival, June 1998
- The Orb - Agora Ballroom, July 2002

And I dunno if you can consider a rave a concert, but if you do, then:
- Dieselboy - Venue unknown, date unknown. But fuck, that was some good speed.

A couple of unforgettable shows, sadly outnumbered by the number of shows I wanted to go to, but didn't or couldn't. But isn't it always like that.

Most of the years have blurred together, but these are pretty close, at least. In order, mostly:

Nine Inch Nails w/Marilyn Manson, Baltimore 1995

Revolting Cocks w/Godflesh, London 1991. First stage dive! I surfed to the stage and found myself on my back looking up at Al Jourgenson, Chris Connelly and Nivek. Heaven!

The Cure w/Love&Rockets and the Pixies, the Meadowlands, NJ 1989

KMFDM w/Sister Machine Gun and Chemlab - the Black Cat, Washington DC. SMG's last song was a cover of the Beastie Boys' Paul Revere, later En Esch stuck the mic in my face during Naive, and I shrieked the chorus with him.

The Sextacy Ball: God Lives Underwater, My Life with the Thrill Kill Kult and Lords of Acid - Capitol Ballroom, DC 1995. Not sure where Lords of Acid were singer-wise...Jade 4U and Ruthie McCardell both being hot blondes. Regardless, she came out wearing knee-high pole-climbing boots, fishnets, a wedding dress, and had devil horns latexed to her forehead. I would have done anything, ANYTHING, she asked.

Skinny Puppy, Arlington VA 1992

KMFDM, Capitol Ballroom, DC 1997. Nivek Ogre climbed down from the rafters and did the vocals for Torture. I nearly shit myself.

Thrill Kill Kult & Machines of Loving Grace, DC 1995

The The, Lisner Auditorium, DC 1994

HFestival 1997: Jimmie's Chicken Shack, Reel Big Fish, Soul Coughing, Lucious Jackson, Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Prodigy, assorted others.

Peter Murphy, Portchester NY, 1989. Only played one Bauhaus song, but it was a perfect rendition of Spirit, so my whole evening was made. NIN pulled out of the show, so he had a lot to make up for.

Reel Big Fish, The State Theater, St. Petersburg, FL 1999

Dillon Fence w/Johnny Quest, Greensboro, NC 1991

1. Piebald - 1999. The headliner (No Knife) didn't show so Piebald played for an hour and a half fucking full on rocking out. They were jumping off fucking speaker cabinets. So good because I don't even like No Knife and I was there to see Piebald.

2. Superchunk - 2001. Even though my friends car (along with most of my clothes and a camera and video game) got stolen during the show, it was fucking rad. Who else do you know has the decency or fucking balls to play the song about your town twice. They opened up with Detroit Has A Skyline (acoustic) and ended with Detroit Has A Skyline rockin'.

3. Alkaline Trio - 2000. They played Cooking Wine and My Friend Peter. The best sing-along band I've ever seen. Fun.

4. Weezer - 1998. Fresh off Pinkerton.

5. White Zombie - 1996. Fireballs, Tittie Dancers and crucified clowns lowering from the ceiling. Now that's a fucking show!

6. Decendents - 1997. On their re-union tour. They played two encores. One was all their stuff, then they came out and played all Black Flag covers. Rock n fuckin Roll.

7. Cursive - 1999. Tim Kasher's got it.

8. Belle and Sebastian - 2002. Get Me Away From Here, I'm Dying as the very last song. Genius.

9. Fifteen - 1998. The loudest fucking show I have ever been to. You talk about crowd interaction...fuckin A, man.

10. Weakerthans - 1998. The same show as Fifteen. Good fucking show.

Ah, but have you seen them since they added the cellist? Amazing.

By the way, incredible jealousy goes to Big Black for that Jane's/Pixies/Primus show, Mundt for the Husker Du show, and yt for the X/Blasters show.
Yeah, I believe that was during the Candy Apple Grey tour. They were so furiously enengetic and beastly loud. Really a great show. I'd also like to ditto Chavez' words on the Smithereens. A fuckin great band IMO. This thread has brought back alot of memories. There are other I could add.

Iron Maiden/Guns N Roses
The Cult/ Guns N Roses
The Cult/The Divinyls
Love And Rockets/Janes Addiction
Gene Loves Jezebel/Flesh For LuLu
The Sisters Of Mercy
The Mission U.K./Balaam And The Angel/Soundgarden
(One of the benefits of living in Seattle during the whole pre-grunge thing was that I have seen bands like Soundgarden and Mudhoney at least 25 times, I shit you not. More often then not the shows were free)

Boss Hogg/Supernova
John Specer Blues Explosion
Jesus Lizard (8 Times)
Fugazi (twice, once at the aforementioned Internatioal Pop Underground Convention)
Big Sandy and His Fly Right Boys
Wayne Hancock
George Jones
Motorhead
The Ramones
Buck Owens
The Reunited Sex Pistols (It was free)

Local alterna rock station 107.7 "The End" puts on a summer show every year. I attended the first two. First one was great, about 10 bands. The tops came in the last 4 bands, L7/Mudhoney/Sonic Youth/The Beastie Boys. Second year was great too. X/Violent Femmes/They Might Be Giants.

Pearl Jam played a free show in a Seattle City Park in 1992. The line-up was Cypress Hill/Seaweed/Pearl Jam. Intense energy of bands on the rise.

Sub Pop was always putting on showcases there were a couple of bills entitled "Four Bands For Four Bucks" it was $4 to get in and one show case was Nirvana/L7/The Melvins/Tad. There was another that was Mudhoney/Billy Childish and Thee Headcoats/Beat Happening/? (can't remember). Sub Pop also put on "Lame Fest" which was Tad/Mudhoney/Nirvana and "Ultra Lame Fest" which was earth/Pond/Seaweed/The Supersuckers/Mudhoney, both were outstanding.

Sorry to ramble on, but I got hit with a flood of memories and had to share. Makes me take stock and realize just how much great music I've seen.

Tool 10-12-01 Atlanta
Pearl Jam 08-07-00 Atlanta
Phish 07-03-00 Atlanta
Radiohead 07-28-01 Atlanta
Tool 10-27-01 Voodoo Music Festival, New Orleans
Metallica Lollapalooza
Metallica Summer Sanitarium (sans James Hetfield)
Tool 05-15-01 Atlanta
Jump, Little Children (about 6 times)
NIN w/ A Perfect Circle Atlanta
Weezer Classic Center Athens, GA

Those are off the top of my head, most of them bigger shows. The Weezer one was really cool though, the Classic Center is tiny and right up the street from my house.

Guns 'N Roses/Motley Crue - Girls, Girls, Girls tour - Mobile, AL

Metallica - ...And Justice For All tour - Biloxi, MS
Suicidal Tendencies/Queensryche - Empire tour (w/ complete Operation:Mindcrime set list) - Pensacola, FL

Rollins Band - The Vatican, Houston - End of Silence Tour
Laibach - The Vatican, Houston - Kapital Tour
Peter Murphy - Numbers, Houston - Cascade Tour
Erasure - The Woodlands, Houston - Cowboy Tour
KMFDM - The Vatican, Houston - MONEY Tour (almost as good as KMFDM at Numbers a couple of years later on the ANGST Tour)
Iggy Pop - Numbers, Houston - American Caesar Tour
Ministry/KMFDM - The Unicorn, Houston - Mind is a Terrible Thing to Taste (I think)
David Byrne - La Zona Rosa, Austin - Feelings Tour

And so many more including Front Line Assembly, Front 242, They Might Be Giants, NIN, David Bowie, GWAR, White Zombie, Lords of Acid/My Life With the Thrill Kill Kult, Ice Cube, Primus, Pet Shop Boys, R.E.M. ("Green" Tour in Dallas when I was a junior high schooler), Nirvana, INXS, etc.

I don't think I've been to ten concerts. Lessee:

David Bowie - Serious Moonlight - Commonwealth Stadium, Edmonton (1984?)

David Bowie - Glass Spider - Commonwealth Stadium, Edmonton (1987)

David Bowie - Sound + Vision - Northlands Coliseum, Edmonton (1990)

David Byrne - Calgary Folk Fest (2001)

Les Miserables (so-so show, but a great experience) - The Palace Theatre, London (1990)

Guns 'n' Roses - Peoples' Pub, Edmonton. Fame didn't make Axl Rose a jerk. I saw them just before they hit it big, and Rose was still a jerk. He sure liked those 75 cent beers, though.

Medeski, Martin, and Wood - Edmonton Folk Fest (1996?)

Kim Mitchell - Some Folks...tour - Dinwoodie's (1995). He really is a wild party. Rah rah ole. We're the ones who hired him for the gig, so I got to sneak him into the building. He's a pretty cool frood.

Just a thought - I don't think that I have been to over 50 concerts in my life. maybe even less. Seems like a small number to me. Anyway, I don't remember all details like dates, but here it goes (pretty much in order). BTW - I am only counting music here & no comedy, etc. (all shows in Atlanta, GA):

1) Fishbone REALITY tour. Incredible. I wish they were still this band. They're still good, but back then they were AMAZING.

2) Follow For Now record release party. It is worse than Sandra Bernhard's life that this band faded away so quickly.

3) Living Colour TIMES UP tour. Has anyone seen any of their recent shows? I will bet that they still kick ass.

4) Morphine YES tour. Small - intimate setting at the Masquerade. God I wish Mark were still living. Still one of my favorite bands.

5) Red Hot Chili Peppers CALIFORNICATION tour. I expected some sell-out pop shit and perhaps a reason to start appreciating them less. What I got was the opposite. They have really grown over the years and they played a lot of great non-album stuff like some Funkadelic covers. The Foo Fighters opened and their performance helpdes me to like them a more as well.

6) Lolla 1 (Jane's Addiction, BH Surfers, NIN, Ice T, etc.): This one was incredible - and felt so much different than all of the following festivals. Then again - I was higher than a kite this night too.

7) Galactic @ Music Midtown for their LATE FOR THE FUTURE album.

8) Jane's Addiction RELAPSE tour. They really milked this tour until it got disgusting near the end. But they rocked and had a cleaner sound than they did in the old days.

9) Morphine LIKE SWIMMING tour. Little did I know that this would be the last time that I would ever get to see this band. They were good, but not as good as the 1st time.

10) Lolla 2: the only time that I have ever seen Pearl Jam. Soundgarden and RHCP were there too. Great show, but sorely lacked Frusciante for the RHCP set.

11)Mr. Bungle CALIFORNIA tour. This was a great & fun show. But the older that I get the more I can't stand the cockassnacity of Mike Patton. Yeah, you should appreciate artists for their art and not their personality, but his art seems to reflect his true nature so...

12) Soundgarden SUPERUNKNOWN tour. I really enjoyed seeing them, but I think they were running low on steam at this point in the tour. I'll be they have had better nights and better tours than this stop in Atlanta.

13) Medeski, Martin & Wood UNINVISIBLE tour.

14) There was a tour in the '80s with Run DMC, Whodini, Public Enemy etc (the Beastie Boys may have been there, but I can't remember). I can't remember the name of this mega-show, but it was great. Old-school rap was good, but I only like a small fraction of today's hip-hop.

Some other bands/performers that I have seen: The Cult, Dave Matthews Band, Blues Traveler, HORDE 1 (Blues Traveler, Big Head Todd & the Monsters, Col. Bruce & ARU, The Samples...), Jamiroquai, Tori Amos, Trulio Disgracias, King's X, The Jacksons (on the "Victory" tour no less)...

Thanks! An instant classic from The Last Starfighter.

Um... you do realize I was kidding about the Scooby Doo thing, right? Hate to see you run out and buy it only to find Neubauten, Piaf, and Allin replaced by the Baha Men and Simple Plan.

Frost:

Dillon Fence w/Johnny Quest, Greensboro, NC 1991
frost, i fucking envy you, man. never got to see the cocks, chemlab or puppy due to being young and having stupid parents. i also missed kmfdm when they came through but i am going to see tool august 29th! here's my list:

nine inch nails w/ a perfect circle (counts as 2)-april 26, 2000, UIC pavilion, chicago, IL

marilyn manson- 4-20-98 allstate arena, chicago, IL

orgy w spineshank (counts as 2) 3-8-2001 house of blues, chicago, IL

korn 7-23-99 woodstock 99, rome, NY

q101 twisted xmas 7(offspring, orgy, deftones, incubus)- 12-9-00, united center, chicago, IL

busta rhymes, 2-17-99, house of blues, chicago, IL

converge/today is the day/failsafe-8-?-98, the fireside, chicago, IL

expect tool's august 29th show at the united center to score very high here but probably not ahead of nin and apc. because nothing less than the rumored manson/nin fall tour could pass it and even then, probably not.

Aargh! Swyyk, I feel your pain. I am so out of it I didn't even know KMFDM was on tour. After reading your post I checked their website and I missed their Tampa show by two weeks. Curses!

And it goes a little somethin' like this -- hit it!

1) Prince (Life, Greenwich Village, 1999) -- Four hours of funk starting *after* 2:00 AM. This was before Prince became a Jehova's Witness and stopped singin' his nasty songs. My friend got me into this show, and we ended up hanging out with Vernon Reid all night.... or morning. A surreal experience made *funky* by the impeccable, yet soulful, musicianship on display.

2) Red Hot Chili Peppers/Smashing Pumpkins/Pearl Jam (I think it was the Cleveland Music Hall, it wasn't the Agora, 1991) -- A legendary tour. Unforgettable even if the Pumpkins were lame (Billy did nothing but bitch about the crowd being out of it). Of course, they had to follow up the then-barely known PJ, who rocked hard despite being largely disrespected by the audience. Of course, my group of friends were standing and rockin' out all during their show; our enthusiasm was rewarded by Vedder stage diving *over* the orchestra pit and running down to our row to bring us on stage during the furious finale. I got tackled by security, but it was cool to look up and see my friend Mark dosey-do-ing with Jeff Ament. Oh, and the Chili's were their usual rowdy selves.

3) Radiohead (MSG, 2001) -- Rock and roll.

4) U2 (Cobo Hall, Detroit Rock City, 1986 or '85, can't remember) -- I was still in fucking grade school, but begged like a brat for my brother to take me along. U2 was touring behind The Unforgettable Fire at the time; it was like watching them become the biggest rock band before our eyes.

5) 1999: A Complete Performance of Prince's Landmark LP w/ The Roots, Vernon Reid and Guests (Brooklyn Academy of Music, Dec. 1999) -- A great jam session. High points: Joan Osborne vamping through "Little Red Corvette", some relative unknown wrecking shop with "International Lover", and Chocolate Genius leading the encore with a stylistic circus version of "Irresistable Bitch".

6) Lollapalooza (Blossom Music Center, 1991) -- A mild-mannered day in the rain until the hometown NIN took the stage, and kicked off their set with "Head Like A Hole". Next thing I knew, I was off of the lawn, and in front of the stage. Thanks to some chemical assistance later in the day, I peaked during Jayne's set, and was apparently crying during "Three Days", claiming it to be the most beautiful moment in my life. So much happened during this show that I wouldn't dream of getting into here; it set the stage for a great Senior year in High School.

7) A Tribe Called Quest/De La Soul/Souls of Mischief (Bogarts, Cincinnati, Dec. 1993) -- I love hip-hop, but rap shows are generally a waste of time, as most of these guys have no idea how to translate their studio wizardry to the stage. Not so with this group. Everyone had come to see ATCQ -- they'd just released Midnight Marauders -- but De La stole the show. They also figure into.....

8) Springfest 1994 (The parking lot next to Zachary's, Athens, OH) -- An odd collection of acts that I helped put together; most notably, De La and Guided By Voices. The performances were a good time, but the highlights of the day were playing basketball with De La during some of the lesser acts sets, and partying with Pollard and GBV that night (sadly, De La had to skip town right after their show).

9) INXS (Anderson Arena, Bowling Green, OH, 1986) -- Kick had *just* been released, "Need You Tonight" was climbing the charts, and I was in Seventh Grade watching yet another band on the verge of their big breakthrough. These guys were a great fucking live act. I miss 'em.

10) Nirvana (that music hall right adjacent to the OSU campus where all the big acts play, Columbus, OH, Dec. 1991) -- Like being ground zero for the Grunge explosion, which rendered this show half-euphoric/half-annoying. Frankly, the band was wild, but off (the sound was pure mud). Still, it was a crazy night.

Just looking back over this list, I must admit I've led a rather charmed life in terms of concerts. Hell, I'm not even sure this is a definitive list; there are lots of other great evenings I'm leaving off.

Recently re-evaluated this after catching some seriously kick-ass shows this past month.

1. Radiohead  (Bonnaroo '06)

2. Underworld  (UMF '11)

3. The Flaming Lips  (Bonnaroo '07)

4. The Police  (Bonnaroo '07)

5. Umphrey's McGee  (many shows, too hard to pick a favorite)

6. Roger Waters  (Nissan Pavillion, VA, '06)

7. David Byrne  (Wolf Trap, VA, '09)

8. Trentemoller  (UMF '11)

9. Galactic's Krewe de Carnivale   (Bonnaroo '05)

10. The New Deal   (again, many shows, too hard to pick a favorite)

Radiohead's Bonnaroo performance is hands down my favorite live music experience, but the rest are in no particular order.

1. Roger Waters performing The Wall, 2010, San Jose, CA. Words cannot adequately explain. If Roger Waters ever plays near you, go, no matter what the cost is it will be worth it.

2. The Reigning Sound, At the Budget Rock 9 Fest 2010, The Bottom of the Hill, San Francisco. Born out of the ashes of The Oblivians, The Reigning Sound just might be Americas greatest rock band.

3. The Veils, 2009, the Bottom of the Hill, S.F. The Veils lead singer Finn always gives a possessed stage performance.

4. The Movie Star Junkies, and NOBUNNY, Total Trash Fest 2009, at The Knockout, S.F. The Movie Star Junkies are a "Punk Blues" band from Turn, Italy. Very dark music, for fans of Tom Waits and Nick Cave. NOBUNNY is a garage punk maniac from Oakland who wears a bunny mask on stage. Life changing show.

5. The Woolly Bandits, 2009, at The Stork Club, Oakland, CA. The bandits put on one of the best live shows you will ever see.

6. Shannon and the Clams, with Personal and the Pizzas, 2010, The Rickshaw Stop, S.F. Shannon and the Clams sound and look like they belong in a John Waters movie. Which is a good thing. I am told they have branded themselves "young oldies"... it fits. The Pizzas sound like The Ramones and The Stooges had a kid who is obsessed with pizza, and then raised him in new jersey.

More to follow...

I don't go to nearly enough concerts, so I'm not even sure I can list 10.

Artist- Tour- Venue - Year

1.Prince - Welcome 2 America - MSG - 2010

2. Jackson 5 - Victory Tour - Florida venue - 1984

3. Pearl Jam - Riot Act - Meadowlands - 2006 (I've seen them several times, but this was my most memorable concert. They played for hours after their cut off time, well after the stadium turned on the lights and tried in vain to kick everyone out.)

4. Jamiroquia - A Funk Odyssey - NYC venue - 2001 (This concert took place on Sept. 10, which caused me to be late to work the next day. My job was two blocks away from the former World Trade Center. had I not gone to this concert, I would have witnessed that tragedy first hand. Instead I watched at home praying my friends and coworkers were ok.)

5. Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings - 100 Days - Irving Plaza - 2006 (I've seen her several times, but this was memorable because she was celebrating her 50th birthday and tore the roof of the house!)

6. Tribe Called Quest/Wu Tang/Nas/Jay-Z/Pharcyde/and more - Rock the Bells - Jones Beach - 2009

7. David Byrne - ??? - Prospect Park Band Shelter - 2010

8. Grace Potter and the Nocternals - ??? - Central Park Summer Stage - 2006

I'm sure I'm missing some, but these stand out right now.
