Hollywood Homicide

I saw this trailer before Anger Management and I completely forgot about it. I heard at least three people mutter "what the fuck/hell" after it. I thought it was a new full trailer for Malibu's Most Wanted when it started. After people started dying I got very confused. The comedy moments looked very forced and akward. Seeing Harrison Ford hump a mirror is rather embarassing. The cinematography looked just as bland and uninteresting as the DP work on Dark Blue which didn't surprise me much. Maybe the film itself is actually decent but the trailer was really really bad.

Harrison Ford is dead. The man you see is some kind of alien-clone... I call him Glymar... and I wish him a most horrible death.

It's sad we agree on something, MooMoo.

That poster on the main page LICKS TAINT.

You think Harrison Ford will pull a Danny Glover and say "I'm getting to old for this shit"? This movie does look like shit. Make Indy 4 already.

The poster looks like it belongs on the cover of a DVD featuring a bad action flick from the 80s. Lousy.

A movie poster as dull as Harrison Ford himself.

I saw the trailer. It scares me like a dried Keith Richards.

I think a wet Keith Richards would put the fear in me even more.

I find it baffling why the man is so intensely hated by so many in the online community.
I just hate the man's decisions as of late.

I personally believe the most hard core Harrison fan would still be a little embarassed after watching him hump a mirror.

Only recently.
The fans hate watching Han Solo/Indiana Jones turn into a humorless piece of wood.
Nothing personal.

Lest we forget this is a comedy guys? Harrison Ford has really never done a comedy, and I for one think he looks kind of funny here. Humping a mirror? Big deal, Cameron Diaz smears cum through her hair, Mike Myers drinks shit, and Jason Biggs humps a pie.

I'm just thankful to see Harrison Ford stretching himself and showing some signs of life again.

I liked the trialer, one can hardly argue that Ford appears wooden and dull.
And saying it looks like cheesy 80s action is not a critique as the filmmakers themselve compare it to 48hours.
48hrs. is hardly a "cheesy" 80's action flick. It was the original template for all future buddy cop films. And it kicks your ass up and down the block.
"Running Scared" was a cheesy 80's action flick.

I saw an ad for this thing last night. It seems as though they're suddenly trying to promote it as a serious cop drama than the madcap comedy they initially pimped it as.

And I still have no desire to see it...

Caught this at a screening last night. While it wasn't as bad as I expected (meaning Satan would show up once the film started and tell the audience that we took the bait, and the be sucked into the bowels of Hell), it just felt damn stale. The premise that cops have side jobs runs VERY thin and after ten minutes, I realized that this was all the movie had. The actual case was hardly important. It was two characters, defined by their cellphone ringtones, who kept turning their attention away from the case to sell a house or become an actor.

Also, Ford can't do comedy. It rarely seems like he's having fun with the role. I would rather this film had just lapsed into full-blown parody of the buddy-cop genre rather than walking the line between the serious cop drama and silly comedy.

Basically, it was like seeing Showtime again, so basically it's pain revisited.

Total crap that made no sense.

I enjoyed it.

So the very few commercials I've seen for this confuse me. Is this a hilarious buddy cop action comedy or a serious cop drama with a little dark humor? From reading this thread, it appears the movie is supposed to be the former. What a shitty marketing campaign.

It's forgetable, but not hateable. I think it was trying to be a humorous buddy cop film.

One of the worst movies I have ever seen, even I felt embarassed for the actors in it...

Harrison Ford has officially become his Retarding...whoops, I mean, his Regarding Henry character.

There's this priceless news story on CNN's main entertainment page called "Harrison Ford discovers his Inner Goofball," accompanied by a picture of Ford looking like his dog just died. I've seen happier-looking people jumping off fucking bridges.

In the right mood, I could see the hate come out. But it's really *meh* picture. Nothing to get worked up about either way. Grade C flick all the way.

-Rudimentary plot (if you can even call it a plot), Ford's old and plays old, Josh Hartnett is sweetly appealing, some light chuckles

-I enjoyed the full use of L.A. as a backdrop.

-It will make coin because although Generation X and Y enjoy shitting on Ford right now, his characterization should attract the over 50 crowd. When you add Josh sweetening the pot for the teens (especially of the female variety)............

So, what was the last flim that Ford was in where he wasn't playing "HARRISON FORD the ICON"...

"The Mosquito Coast" - maybe?
I rather liked his mostly silent performance in THE FUGITIVE.

Quite emotional.

Shit, it came in 6th on Friday.

I still think older folks will come out to see it in the long run.

I am definately glad to see Nemo back on top and 2 Fast and the newcomers struggling.

Looks like this movie won't even earn back Harrison's salary with its domestic gross. Ouch!
It was nowhere near as bad as I had been lead to believe. As a matter of fact, I'd go as far as saying that I was very entertained by the movie. Harrison Ford had a lot of fun with his role, especially in the scene when he steals the bike. I surprisingly didn't hate Josh Hartnett either. They made a good team in as far as their chemistry was concerened. It's not the kind of flick I see myself watching again anytime soon but it's very decent nonetheless.

Hollywood Homicide only made 11 million over the weekend, got beaten by Ruguats the movie and just barely squeak pass Dumb and Dumberer. I think this qualifies as a bomb at the BO. I doubt I'll catch it on DVD, either. What a shame.

I Still want to see it.
