Dear Every Studio:

Quicktime, for fuck's sake!

Sincerely,

Me.

Ever since I upgraded my Media Player and Real Player, neither have worked right. Guess I'll have to wait for Quicktime.

My RealOne player worked quite well. I was actually surprised by how cool this trailer was. Some very cool looking action sequences, and the final pullback sot was pretty sweet. I like Colin Farrell, and even though he seemed like he was on depressants, Samuel L. Jackson is the man every time.

But sadly, any film that hypes itself as "From the producer of 'The Fast and the Furious' and 'XXX'" needs to be questioned.

Has Samuel Jackson been taking estrogen pills?

At least you know what you'll be in for right from the get-go: "From the producer of The Fast and the Furious and XXX"...

So great to see Michelle Rodriguez is still perfecting the scowl. How does that bitch still get work?

At least now I know what happened to Josh Charles after Sports Night.

Tagline: still retarded.

Yeah, Moritz hosted the "unveiling" of this trailer yesterday on the Sony lot. Sadly, I missed it, but wanted to see the Q&A. The script is really just an inversion of "The Warriors" or something and kind of silly, but apparently the movie is really good.

Because Jeannette Goldstein is too old?

You know, it is pretty easy to get me excited for a movie. But for some reason this trailer just didn't do anything for me.

The only part I liked was them sitting around the table doing the SWAT theme. That was funny and a little fourth wall breaking.

But, it all seemed so ho-hum, been there seen that.

Well, though it's his feature debut, Clark Johnson has a solid past in TV with gigs on Homicide and other shows.

The trailer looks good, but I do need my QuickTime version. Apple.com has been slacking off lately.

I will say this does look like fun and that was a clever use for the original TV show's music at the end of the trailer.

All I hear is the audio but this film has a really good chance of kicking ass. The cast, director, and DP are fantastic.

Actually, I am not a fan of Rodriguez or LL Cool J. I thought he was good in Deep Blue Sea and his music hasn't been good since "Mama Said Knock You Out."

Wwell, it is a teaser, and effectively so but I haven't seen that many explosions since...well, something.

And something just scares me about the "From the producer of The Fast And The Furious and xXx."

That is a really really damn cool teaser.

SWAT is already low on my anticipation list but that teaser bumped it up a notch. That "from the producers" has to go though. Does anyone see a film based on "from the producers" or am I missing something???

Personally I keep a look out for titles from these producers:

Joel Silver
Jerry Bruckheimer
Menahem Golan & Yoram Globus
Chris Lee
Lawrence Bender
Johnnie To
Hitoshi Ozawa
Woo Suk Kang

George Huang wrote the story for this? Is it a lost hope to see Buddy Ackermann as one of the hostages?

I love ensemble action pictures with lots of heavy weaponry. The last decent one I saw was Dante Lam's Hit Team from HK. Might even check that one out again tonight.

Associating this film with utter crap like "XXX" and "The Fast and the Furious" is the problem.

And the only time I really pay attention to the producer is when its Soderberh/Clooney's "Section 8", Joel Silver, Luc Besson (cool little action flicks like "The Transporter"), and a few others from time to time.
