Napster has lost any and all credibility or signifigance. Last thing I remember was BMG bought them in 2001, and they've been working on getting a pay service going since. Since then, Roxio has aquired them.
Now that pay mp3 services are 'hot', thanks to Apple, Roxio is probably trying to get in on that action and is reviving the project.

My view on downloading music? If I'm going to pay money for something, I want to actually GET something physical, a CD with artwork that I'll always have. If I'm not sure it's worth buying, I download it first.
