Radio Edits

what are the most annoying edits to your favorite songs when you hear them on the radio?

I'm used to rap songs having the profanity wiped, altering the lyrics is another issue.

Sunday I was in my car listening (god forbid) to the Rick Dee's weekly top 40. Mya's "Woa" song came on and my favorite part of that song is..

you guessed it.. My Ass is Like Woa! and They completely edited that line out of the song. Rick Dee's sucks. The song's chorus completely sounded spliced and diced and pissed me off.

The radio edit that annoys me more than any other is in You Don't Know How it Feels by Tom Petty.

The track on the CD goes:
"So Let's get to the point,
Let's roll another joint. . ."

However on the radio, for reasons I cannot figure out, it says:
"So let's get to the point,
Let's hit another joint. . ."

The word hit sounds completly out of place and doesn't flow well with that line at all. Why would that word even get edited at all? You'd think that hitting a joint would be a little worse the just rolling the damn thing.

They also slurred the work joint on some stations, so it sounded like lets hit (in another voice, almost) another yuuuuuuoooin. That was even worse.

Once, I called up my local radio station (I was living in rural SW Virginia at the time) and requested that song. They said they wouldn't play it because they didn't like to play "provocative" songs. Then, the chick said "you do know what he says in that song, right?" I was speechless.
