Since there seem to be more than a few musical chewers out there, how about trading war stories?
Maybe some of your old band names & what type of music you played, even your best or worst gigs and why they were.
Since this was my bright idea, I'll go first...
My first band was named Climate. On our business cards it said A Band For All Seasons...you can laugh now...we were desperate for any gig, and somehow thru a neighbor looking for a cheap band, landed a reunion held at the Holiday Inn. We didn't really know, in our youthful innocence, you couldn't play things like "Cat Scratch Fever" with any acclaim to a crowd mostly over 50. But we tried anyway. After some astounded looks, we stuck with 50's stuff-Elvis, Chuck Berry along with some Beach Boys & Beatles. But the biggest hit all night was our instrumental rendition of "Somewhere My Love",which somehow sensing the crowd's growing hostility, our guitarist led us through. We even played an encore of it. Those were the days!
