I should probably be beat down for starting this thread.. but since I'm from North Carolina maybe I can get away with it.

I cant say I'm a fan.. but living very close to Raleigh where his music is in non-stop rotation on the pop stations..

If I dont think about how weirdly weird he looks, and just listen to the music, he kinda has that Rick Astley appeal.

and Rick Astley is the Mack!

anyway I figured I'd start this thread so you guys could praise him or bash him.. or completely distroy him.

anyway.. if "I was invisible" my song would probably sound a lot dirtier than his version.

Thank god for cd players. Otherwise, I might have heard his song. I'm pretty sure I hate it anyway though. And I HATE all the coverage he gets on TV. And his voice. And the way he looks. Other than that, I guess I'm a fan.

And if one more person from my hometown (including my family) asks me if I know him, I'm going to snap.

Nice try. You're not from my hometown.

See, I'm from a very small place where everyone knows everyone else. They think everwhere is like that. So, despite the fact that there are about 10 times more people in Raleigh than in the entire county I'm from, they think I should know them all.

FUCK this loser. His music sucks, he's a dork, and the hype is sickening, unnecessary, and undeserved.

By the way, when we were in L.A. 2 weekends ago, my wife and I went to Hollywood with a couple of her friends. Hollywood Blvd was closed off in front of the Chinese Theater, because they were filming the new Aiken video. We got stuck in an area that was roped off and some people came up and asked us if we wanted to be extras in the video. The girls (of course) all said, "sure" but I responded with a proud, "No way. I'd rather stare at the concrete", which is exactly what I did.

Clay Aiken's 15 minutes cannot end fast enough.

you know what pisses me off most about this kid?

HE FUCKING LOST.

Nobody's talking about the fat black guy at all, and his album probably isn't going to do well. Clay should be treated like the #2 he is.

Don't feel bad for Ruben, guys. He has friends in high places, like, I bet you didn't know that both his brothers Hoagie and Club work for RCA.

Besides, the American Idol contests were designed to find America's best karaoke singer, and I think that that was accomplished both times.

I can't stand the guy but I must say I'm impressed by how rabid his fanbase is. His album sold over 600,000 copies in its first week. That's more than the new Outkast, which (I assume) has far wider appeal. He beat Kelly Clarkson by about 400,000, and she actually won the freakin' thing.

The only time Ruben has been in the news lately is for his lawsuits with 205 Flava. He probably won't outsell Clay but I'm sure he'll do alright.

Yeah, because it's not like he's talented or anything.....

Come on Carl, makes you look kinda silly to get THAT enraged.

Say what you want about American Idol, but hundreds of thousands wait in line for that thing and he was #2 in the end. "Undeserved" is kinda stupid.
