Too short of a career.

R.E.M. very old R.E.M.

The Birthday Party (kind of Halloween-y, or at least goth-y, and I just checked their greatest hits cd out of the liberry).

Soundgarden. I was rocking out to Badmotorfiner last night. I realized the reason it is far superior to Audioslave is because it was made TEN YEARS before (in addition to having a better overall band supporting Cornell).

on Halloween I threw in some White Zombie. Always good h'weenie music.

I'm kind of pining for that wonderful old Irish band The Adventures . They were cool.

A dose of The Alarm would go down well too.

Talking Heads. Always the Talking Heads

Allman brothers band. They're still making great music but I just got one of their archival releases from 9/19/71 and I'm digging the hell out of it.

There's a restaurant I go to almost every Thursday that usually plays jam band type music at ear-splitting volumes. They've been playing a damn good Talking Heads live album the past two weeks. It's definitely been making me wish I had more of their stuff.

Thanks for giving me the urge to Urge, Chavez.
Anytime, BD. Had "Stalker" and "Bottle of Fur" running through my head all Thursday.

As to Urge's status, I believe they officially called it quits before Nash's solo album. Dunno if they've gotten back together or not recently, though.

Man, no other band knows exactly how us guys feel.

Well, maybe they do, but they sure as hell don't straight out say it like Greg Dulli did.

Pavement. Big time.

Third Eye Blind. I want the band that made the first album back, not the rockLite pop crap that infested their minds shortly afterwards. Say what you like, but I thought their first album was damn good, and I've always felt a bit sad that they sold out so quickly and died.

I've also been on a big trip for The Who. Maybe it is my desire to wash away any memory of the Limp Bizkit version of "Behind Blue Eyes" that's had me immersed in the teenage wasteland.

Pixies.

If their comeback is really a co-headliner with The Bowie, I will sacrifice all of you to go...

Because do I ever love The Bowie as well...

Depeche Mode. I've been listening to their Singles: 81 to 85 album every week for about a year now.

Dread Zeppelin

Skid Row (the original band with Sebastian Bach as lead singer)

Here lately it's been the Stewart Copeland soundtrack to Rumble Fish, especially Stan Ridgeway singing "Don't Box Me In".

Living Colour right when I realized how truly great Time's Up was.

I'm nostalgiac for that exact moment.

The Violent Femmes.

I want them to come back and enjoy the success they deserve.
