Stabbing Westward fans...

Chris Hall's new band, The Dreaming, has released a 4-song EP over on their official website:

http://www.thedreamingonline.com

And it's fucking FANTASTIC. Maybe it's just the four year drought of no new SW songs (my favorite band of all time), but if you're going through the same withdrawls I've been having, order this EP right now. You won't regret it.

SO not fair! I ordered two copies of the EP,(One for me, one for my brother) and I still haven't received them. I just saw them in Tempe on Tuesday, and they're just as good as Stabbing Westward.

Man...totally forgot about Stabbing Westward...

Got my copies of the EP on Saturday. Abso-friggin-lutley love the songs, especially, well, all of them. Can't wait to see them again.

I know there's only one other person on this board who cares, but I saw them last night at the Whiskey in Hollywood and it was the best goddamn show I've ever seen.

Bloody hell! I didn't even know Chris Hall had a new band....

Thanks for the bump!

I'll check it out.

I'll check them out. I saw Stabbing Westward open for Depeche Mode years and years ago. Really thought they were great. Then nothing.

Thanks for the reminder.

I need to see these guys again. I hope they get signed soon. I'm fiending for some new Chris Hall studio material.

always been a Stabbing Westward fan... one of the best concerts I saw was a FREE 4th of July concert they gave in Greensboro, NC.

hope the dreaming gets a record deal soon.

Andy Kubiszewski, SW's drummer/songwriter not only scored my latest movie "So, You've Downloaded A Demon" but the trailers for all my graphic novels! The new book, "The Living and the Dead" is all chamber music - but really dark and badass!

I saw Stabbing Westward a couple of times a few years ago and have two CDs, I think. I'll check this out.

Listened to the samples. Sounds amazing! I have to get this now. I loved Stabbing Westward

Stabbing Westward is one of my favorite bands. Even though they are no more I'll still say "is" because I'll be listening to their stuff for years to come. I remember an earlier discussion on here about them and The Dreaming came up... Now, it's about time for me to get on over there and expand my horizons.

Went over there to check it out and I'm back here and I'm very pleased. I never got to see Stabbing Westward in concert but I'll try and catch The dreaming if they're ever around. I feel like I'm obligated. The clips were great. The video was a nice way to get to check out a whole song too. BUT... I can't seem to get into the store. It's turns up "not found". Oh well. No demo for me... yet.

Four new songs!

http://www.thedreamingmusic.com/store.html

They'll cost you five bucks for the batch, but if you're a SW fan, it's easily worth it. "You Are" is weak, but the other three songs are absofuckinglutely killer. Can't stop listening.

You can also listen to another song--Disconnected--on their Myspace page, but you'll have to google for the address.

Squealing fanboy update: The Dreaming finally has a record label, and the album should finally be hitting stores sometime this spring. About fucking time.

They've also got a bunch of brand new tracks up on their myspace page, including Make It Go Away, which is just the greatest goddamn song ever.

So, yeah. Good stuff.

Slater, you're some kind of goddamned superfan.

I used to be really into Stabbing Westward, but I sold off 2 of the three CDs I had(held on to "Ungod"). I'll check out the new shit next time I'm on highspeed though, thanks.

that is extremely awesome news. I rarely can afford to buy new albums, but I will get this one the DAY it comes out.
Eh. It's no Stabbing Westward.

The thing I loved about Stabbing Westward(and Slater may get very pissed for this comment) is when they weren't being a Nine Inch Nails wannabe, they were pretty awesome and talented. Gravity Kills(another band I dug back in the mid 90's) didn't have that to fall back on(as their 2nd album proved).

Wow I am pretty shocked to find that there are Stabbing Westward fans here. The Dreaming is great. Glad to hear about the record deal. Cant wait.
