He's a great young catcher. His potential is pretty great, and he has experience already from when the Phils almost won the division 2 years ago.

But I never even expected this. I think it's GREAT for the Phils.

Hell, it's a great trade for both sides.

Great catch for your boys, Verbal. Braves fans have gotta be *pissed*, if only for the in-division trade that needlessly strengthens the Phillies. I mean, Millwood is a better catch than the aging Glavine.

Millwood has a great year last year, which means he's due for some shits. Seriously, he's hardly ever put 2 solid seasons together in a row.

Still, I would MUCH rather we had gotten Fernando Vina from St Louis (as was discussed all week) over another catcher. Hell, Pudge Rodriguez is out there, too.

The Braves make about as much sense these days as a Microwaveable Milkshake.

I guess since they re-signed Maddux they still needed a C other than Javy to catch for him. Maybe Javy will play 1B when Maddux pitches.

Johnny Estrada's shit.

Keith Lockhart sucks the ballmeat off of everyone.

Julio Franco's shit.

Furcal is borderline shit.

Andruw Jones has become a strikeout machine.

Keith Lockhart is a waste of baseball humanity.

And, to top it all off, we are going to retain Maddux who is, at best now, a 5 inning pitcher. AND, we might get the privilege of paying him 15-20 million per year.

We have added Russ Ortiz, who is only slightly better than Damian Moss, and Paul Byrd, who is much worse than Millwood.

But, in the end it boils down to Millwood for Estrada. Straight up.

Glavine (like I give a damn anyway), Millwood, Hammond, Remlinger and Lightenberg won't be back.

But Lockhart will.

I weep.

Maddux is still a great pitcher, and will be for atleast 3 to 5 more years I figure.. he never was a power guy, and his accuracy and smarts alone will guarentee a good season

and Pudge is talking about going to Japan now

anyhow, when the hell are my Mariners gonna start making some moves.. we need a 4th starter.. and we need him now
