Go ahead and talk about the dick of it all

Kinda quiet here!

Anyhow, I blame chud.com for the decline of movie magazines! This website and other of its ilk! I mean, who can expect anyone to pay $6-9 for a magazine (aside from SISI) when the info is outdated and you can get better info from the net?

Shaddup already.

Anyhow, movie mags? I used to read loads of Fango when I was young, but now it's too expensive. Didn't miss an issue of Cinescape from '94-'97, but I lost interest when the price started to climb also. I might buy Wicked just for Bruce's exclusive commentary (which Nick forgot to mention in his review, BTW ).

Screenwriter (right name?) is pretty good, as are a lot of the mags which are just outside the spectrum of mainstream media.
That's where I spend most of my $$$ nowadays, that and to feed my rapidly growing smack jones...

I like Femme Fatale for the boobies.

Well, seeing as this is the Music forum, try picking up Film Score Monthly. It's cheap, but has TONS of info in it. Very helpful for the soundtrack barbarian-like myself.

I agree, FSM is a must for any film score enthusiast. And it's edited and run by Lukas Kendall, a very informative soul and pretty cool guy.

The website, surprisingly, is located at www.filmscoremonthly.com You can log on and check out what your fave composer has going on.

There is no better movie magazine resource than our own MEDIA REPORT
http://www.chud.com/media.php3

Shameless plug I guess but if one person discovers it then my work is done.

I love the Media Report but have found a fundemental flaw:

There are no reviews of Atlanta Film Report!!

(By the way, I will start reviewing Film Journal if at least 1 person gives a flame)

Good. Thank you, LowShot...

It will happen. Cool thing is, the next issue is the infamous "Blue Sheets" issue. It's an annual report of all kinds of films in all types of development stages. Many of them never end up being made, so it's also a nice barometer of Hollywood's back-burner.

It should arrive within the next week or so, and I'll have a review (and scan) ready for the Media Report.

The best thing about Batman Forever was the novelization by Peter David. Can I get an amen?

Anything he touches, turns to gold. Hell, I even liked "Oblivion." Anybody besides me see that?

I was wondering why Peter David's walking around with a solid gold shlong.

But Peter David has no hair.

That Projections series is pretty good as far as books go.
