I got the combo soundtrack for Scream 1 and 2. Scream 1 is ho-hum, but 2 is really good. I really dig the guitar in it, simple though it may be.
The Fifth Element is a great soundtrack (to me, anyway; some of you guys crapped all over it). I thought it was just this playful, all-over-the-place-type music. It dabbled in a lot of different styles. Techno, opera, a bit of jazz, reggae, etc. It's so great to fall asleep to ('specially the slow opera song).
Anything Final Fantasy. Do I REALLY have to go into it? FF6 is the shi-zit! The best of the series easily. Again, the opera song rocks my world (even learned how to play it on my guitar; it sounds like a pretty sweet song on acoustic). I've heard samples of the orchestrated, vocal, and piano versions of the series. I nearly wet my pants.
Clay Pigeons is fun. It's got a bit of that old-school country feel to it. It reminds me of the movie and I crack up laughing.
Godzilla is a big bag 'o' fun. It's got some good stuff on there (and NO, I'm not talking about the singles; though they were alright).
The Monty Python and the Holy Grail is damn funny. "A Lesson In Logic" is worth the money you pay for it alone.
Batman Forever (not the score) is pretty grooveable. U2, Seal, Brandy, Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds, The Flaming Lips...Wow.
Batman Forever (the score) isn't too bad. Elfman's is better, but hey...
The Crow (not the score) is awesome. It's pretty good. It FITS the movie. The second Crow is almost as good as the first (one day, before I die, I will mix The Terminator's Theme into Filter's Jurassitol; that is what I was put on this earth to do).
Cruel Intentions is a lot of fun to listen to. A nice collection of modern "underdog" artists, with good sounds.
Hackers is a techno starter kit. Fun. Upbeat.
Man On the Moon is fun. It makes me nostalgic for the movie.
Romeo and Juliet is a good one for "the kids." The second one is pretty cool by itself. Radiohead needs more Grammys.
Twister is another good one. Some light country overtones, and one of the best Red Hot Chili Peppers songs EVER.
From Dusk Till Dawn is cheesy bar music at it's best. Audio from the movie, too.
Austin Powers is a great collection of new, old, and borrowed. AP 2 (much like the movie) is slightly overshadowed by the original.
Guys? Your faves?
