This film boasts an incredible story and a very impressive soundtrack. Trainspotting includes graphic scenes of drug use, sex and death. One of the finest films to come from Scotland, this movie...
Anybody else read this? I know this was probably the topic of a thread last summer, but I was curious...Anyone have any opinions? Any changes they should make for the film?
Yep. I read Hannibal. Expected a fabulous cat & mouse game -- didn't get it. This book sucks! What do they need to do differently for the movie? Have the script treat Clarice respectfully. Have Hannibal more central to the story, and relegate the pig-story to the far background, if not eliminate it entirely.
I took my hardback copy of Hannibal to the local used bookstore to trade (and this was about a week after the book was released). The owner had so many copies on the shelves, that he said they were just about worthless, and he'd never be able to sell them. One of our local authors that frequents the store brought in his ENTIRE COLLECTION of Thomas Harris' novels. After the crap that is Hannibal, this author was no longer willing to have any Harris books on his shelf.
This book made it burn when I pee, just from reading it. Any book that can give you the clap just from touching its pages, well, I don't know if shit that toxic should be MADE into a movie!
Zod, Peter Benchley could could write a book about jock itch and as long as it has underwater scenes I'm in! Jaws was great, just different. Shit, I enjoyed his book about a genetically engineered shark-Nazi.
