Here we could bring up soundtracks that are mostly without any lyrics, but come from a modern genre. I am thinking of STs like teh "Pi" soundtrack or any that a rock band did mostly by themselves. One example would be that Morphine's "Cure For Pain" was the soundtrack for "Spanking the Monkey." That is a valid example, but i am thinking even more about something a rock artist or band did that consists of mostly instrumentation.
