Sprint PCS

Anyone know if this service is any good?
Hastur & I were thinking about getting it, and BOOM. Look, dear, someone's thrown away a perfectly good Samsung PCS phone.
I'm trying to figure out who it belongs to, but if I can't, I may just take it to Sprint and explain things and see if they can reimage. I mean, even the charger was thrown away. Very bizarre. (I can't just post: "Found: One PCS phone" cause I'll have 12 people on my door saying they lost it.)
But the only person I know who owns one hates the service. And it looks like this person tossed theirs out (after all, if you're sick of em, it's not like you can use a PCS phone to subscribe to another service.)
Meanwhile, I'm playing with it to see if there are any clues to the owner, and carrying it in case they call their own number to ask where the phone was.

PCS is fine, just don't get on a complicated plan.

For the most part, I think that celphones are a largely unneccesary affectation of American life.

Nick, Carl, and myself are all Sprint PCS users. It has its kinks, but for the most part, it's a dcent service.

Well, we mostly wanted it for things like "the car breaks down" or "Sweetheart, where the hell are you?" rather than "I'm trying to rack up my free cancer points" or "Let's annoy everyone else on the freeway."
