I hate it. It sucks. It's all this bullshit pressure. Fuck. And the girl I like-you know who I'm talking about-got asked out by this dipshit son of a bitch who doesn't even like her but only asked her out cause I wouldn't kiss this friend of his who's dumb and everybody makes fun of's ass and I gave him the finger. MOTHER FUCKING SON OF A BITCH! WHEN THE FUCK AM I GONNA GET MY 'OTHER TIME'? SHE'S PROMISED ME THIS FOR TWO FUCKING YEARS! FUCK!

Ask one of her friends. Foeget what they look like, just take one. Get her drunk have a good time and who knows. Never go back to a girl who promises you a prom date for two years and then screws you. Take her friend or one of her relatives. She'll never forget you after that.

Oh man, Charly, not only did I not go to the prom I didn't go to ANY school dances. Even if I had been asked I think I would have said no. My friends and I went to the Opera instead.

Now I spend all week looking forward to Sunday night chats (*sigh*, pity party).

I never went. The last time I got asked, it was by a girl though was really cute and cool. I told her there was no way I was going to prom with her-but anywhere else she wanted to go in the continental United States, and anything she wanted to do, I would do.

Turns out she just wanted a date to the prom.

Oh well.

I was sitting at a table with a bunch of guys one day, forced to explain my actions, and I said that there was no way I was going to spend a small fortune to go to a SCHOOL DANCE. I told her that we could go para-sailing, skydiving, rafting-drive cross country, go to a concert-ANYTHING but show up to a school function, where school rules of conduct and contact applied.

Upon hearing this-the kid who went on to become my class valedictorian said:

"The problem with prom is that you have to drop all this bank on a girl you're probably already going out with in the HOPES she'll put out at the end of the night-shit, man-rent a limo and drive through downtown GARY and drop fifty bucks on a sure thing!"

I told him it was that kind of thinking that had six schools fighting over him...

I never went to my prom either. The whole idea just didnt appeal to me. Although, me and my best friend had a plan that we were gonna go together, as a couple to shock people (my best friend is a girl), but I wound up moving so it didnt happen. Now that would have been interesting

Shelby: You should have take a guy with the two of you and insisted on all three of you dancing slow with each other and hanging on to each other all night long. THAT would have been a prom to remember!

Rath: For three days prior to the prom, eat nothing but Pork and Beans, chil and beans, hard boiled eggs, cabbage and dring a few beers. Take a girl with a sense of humor (and preferably a bad cold) and have the time of your life at the prom. Do NOT under any circumstances, smoke. (Trust me on this point)
