What do you use?

I use Eudora, but I'm considering making the jump to Outlook.

I'm using Outlook XP for work. Pure pain.
But at home I use the email portion of the Mozilla browser. Very nice, very free.

or, direct link to 11MB download <a href="http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla/releases/mozilla1.3.1/mozilla-win32-1.3.1-installer.exe" target="_blank">here</a>. It DOES include the browser as well, so it may be a bit too bulky for you.

I use Outlook XP, but in order to keep the massive loads of spam out of my inbox (as my ISP's blocker doesn't block SHIT), I use this:

MailWasher:
<a href="http://www.mailwasher.net" target="_blank">http://www.mailwasher.net</a>

You install it, specify the location of your client and your network settings and when you open it, it lists all the incoming mail. Since I get so much spam and replying and unsubscribing from them is useless, what this program allows you to do is blacklist the email address or domain of the sender and makes it look as if your email address doesn't exist. Once you specify where they are friend or foe, you click submit and it automatically deletes all SPAM from the server, bounces a message back to the sender that your email address is nonexistant and launches your client with only the mail you wish to see.

It works, as one my former co-workers started sending me lots of forwards, so I blacklisted her and stopped getting their messages. She asked me on one of my last days why my email address didn't work one day and I played it coy and told her everything worked fine and that maybe it was something on her end. I just didn't have time to read the annoying forwards she sent me.

As for a browser, I am smitten with Avant Browser. A fast, stable, user-friendly, versatile multi-window browser, Avant Browser allows the user to browse multiple Web sites simultaneously within one window and block all unwanted pop-up pages and flash ads. All opened pages can be easily stopped, refreshed, closed or arranged with one click. The integrated cleaner helps user to clear all traces and keep privacy. Built-in Google search engine enables user to search for web pages, images, groups, directories, lyrics, software and news in Internet. Program is available in 32 different translations. It's a small download and is free!

Can you set Outlook up with yahoo mail?
Do you mean, so that you can check your Yahoo! Mail in your Outlook client? If so, read on:

First, try setting up a new account with the following settings:

Incoming Mail (POP3) Server: pop.mail.yahoo.com
Outgoing Mail (SMTP) Server: smtp.mail.yahoo.com

Account name: Your Yahoo! Mail username w/o @yahoo.com
Email Address: whatever@yahoo.com
Password: Your Yahoo! Mail password

You also want to make sure that "Log on using Secure Password Authentication (SPA)" remains unchecked and that there IS a check in the box next to "My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication." You will find this under the "Outgoing Server" tab under More Settings.

It should work. If not, read more below.

I ran a search for "setting up yahoo mail on outlook and yielded the following results:

<a href="http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&q=setting+up+yahoo+mail+on+outlook" target="_blank">http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&q=setting+up+yahoo+mail+on+outlook </a>

UPDATE!!

I tried setting it up to work with my Outlook and it would not work. When I opened my Yahoo! account, there was a message from them saying that though the service used to be available, it now costs $19.99 to use POP Access and Forwarding and the ability to send messages over 5 MB. But for $29.99, you can get Yahoo! Mail Plus, which includes PA+F plus a whole lot more, so it's a better deal if you decide to take the plunge.
