Guinness

Is there anything nicer than a fresh pint of Guinness? Absolutley the tastiest beer thats readily available.

And the new Guinness bottles are absolutley genius, WAY better than the cans... though nothing beats a real pint.

So... any other Guinness lovers? Haters?

The best beer readily available to mortals.

However, Guinness ice cream can go fuck itself.

Excellent. The fudge isn't bad though.

I've never understood how Amy's got famous for selling that.

Love Guinness... both the beer and Sir Alec.

Fuller's London Porter(or the 1845 ale for a lighter variant)represents British beer excellence much more for me, but a pint of Guinness will work in a pinch. And there's nothing like a good old black and tan.

Elitist. I agree.

I dig the Guinness but Bass ale is my fav.
Of course Bass Ale is made by the Guinness company.

I love both Guinness and Bass. I'm the only one in my house that loves Guinness, so unlike other beers, when I buy a six-pack, it stays unmolested in the fridge until I drink it.

I experienced Guinness and Bass when I was in England and Ireland over spring break. Both really awesome beers, but not ones that you can drink regularly.

If I drink multiple pints of Guinness in a night, I often get comments from my friends like "How can you drink that much of it? A pint's practically a meal!" I really don't find Guinness any more filling than any other beer, and it has the same amount of calories/carbs as any other brand of beer...

I'll gladly drink a sixer of Guinness if I'm looking to get drunk and am willing to spend a little extra cash.

Guinness kicks serious malted hops and barley ass!

I too have friends who question why I like Guinness and how I can drink it. I haven't been able to figure it out myself, considering I generally drink watery beers like Nati Lt and Miller Lt.

Black and Tan's are nice, but I like Irish Car Bombs better. They taste like milk shakes, and after four or five you truely are 'bombed'.

Jesus, my boyfriend can drink this shit like water, while it takes me a damn hour to finish one beer. I have to admit I really like it when it's mixed (black & tan?). Although I learned the hard way that you DO NOT STIR black & tan (Is that what it's called?)

*Goes and makes a Black&Tan*
post #18 of 20
Sorry, but I prefer my beers to have a lower viscosity than my motor oil.

Depends.

Guiness + Bass = black and tan;

Guiness + Harp = half and half;

I once got into a debate in an Irish pub because I requested a "black and tan, but with Murphy's Stout and Murphy's Amber"; barkeep began lecturing me on how a black and tan is ONLY with Guiness and Bass, and I was like "yeah, I fuckin' know that, but the company I work for SELLS Murphy's, so y'know, dance with who brung ya". Dude kept mumbling how I wasn't drinking a "true black and tan" all night.
