Bad Nights

Thread Starter
Lst night, I went to sleep pretty early, about 11:45. I went right to sleep, but that was the end of the good news for the night. All night long, from midnight to 6 AM, I had a horrible dream in which I was constantly confused, late, getting yelled at, pushed to my physical limits in some bizarre Metroid: Prime style sequence, and bombarded with anxiety from all sides at all times.
As a result, I didn't get out of bed until 11 this morning, and I am absolutely exhausted. I can't remember feeling this tired in quite a while. Stupid dreams wear me out more than real life.

For an indication of how taxing this dream was, undersand that it involved me being late for school in a big city college campus wher I had to take a train accross the city to get to my next class and I was totally unfamiliar with the place. I was riding in a train car in front of my brother and his wife, and they arguing constantly about how I should know what I'm doind, and since I didn't, what they should do about it. then, the train cars got separated from the train so I was stuck with them about 800 feet in the air between to skyscrapers connected by an aerial garden, and I had to run and jump across the ledges and terraces to get further in to a city that I didn't know. I fell, and got hurt, so my bro and his wife kept carrying me to different spots thinking that it would help, when it really just hurt a lot to be moved. I was super dizzy and passing out, when a group of Indian students showed up, talking about some old man who they obviously didn't like ery much, but we're sort of forced to respect. They sat with me while I was babbling incoherently, and then Journey (yes, the band Journey) drove up (in the sky!?) in a big black Cadillac convertible and said "Put him in!" I was relieved, because I was going to get out of there, but one of the Indian dudes jumped in and they drove off. So I went crazy, running around shouting and wailing, and everyone up there with me started chasing me and saying they would kill me if I didn't stop. That scared me, so I did another run and jump thing with the help of adrenaline (never good when you're sleeping) and crashed through the window of one of the skyscrapers into a giant room with an indoor pool. I ran through there and out the big double doors and I ended up in the halls of the school. I had been right next to it the whole time. So there were a whole bunch of student there who were better looking and better prepared then I was, and they were all talking about how much trouble I was in because I was late. I was freaked out, so I picked a random classroom and had to take a test which I failed. I felt really sick, so I ran to the bathroom and when I got there, I actually started to calm down a bit. I needed to pee, so I did, but as soon as I started, a bunch of people came in and started making jokes and watching me! They even had chairs and their favorite beverages! That made me really angry so I pushed a bunch of them out of the way and left. As I was walking around trying to figure out how to get home, I heard people whispering that I had killed the people that I pushed in the bathroom. Then I felt horrible. I stopped and realized that i didn't know anyone, I didn't know anything, and everything I did made both of those awful truths even uglier.
Then my alarm went off and I woke up.

What are your worst nights?

I have nightmares every single night, and every now and then, when they get too intense, I'll start sleepwalking/sleepacting.

Apparently, two nights ago, I woke my girlfriend up at about 3 in the morning. I was on my hands and knees at the foot of the bed, peering over the side, and yelling, "Stay right there! I'll save you! Lemme find some rope!" Apparently, after she said my name, I just fell asleep again. No memories of it happening whatsoever, but the next day, my entire body ached. Psychosomatic, I guess.

Damn mountain-climbing nightmares. I'm so fucking weird.

I like that whole "Stay right there" part. If they are stuck on a mountain how could they move?

A while ago I had a really freaky dream where I was in a army base that was being evacuated because there was somthing else in the building. The lights of the base were flickering and dead bodies littered the hall. Except they weren't dead yet, they were all dying. Moaning from the pain. They had all been attacked by somthing and were crushed under heavy objects, like filing cabnets and for some strange reason boulders. They kept on telling me to turn back, but I don't. I reach a dead end and find a ladder going up to a trap door in the ceiling. I climb up it and peered through the top. Now I don't really remember what I saw but it caused me to scream and wake my self up. It wasn't one of those high-pitched screams that are in scary movies. This one came from the gut, low-pitched, sounding like pure distilled horror. I have never been able to get myself to scream like that again.

It is strange that all the nightmares that I have involve the supernatural to some degree.
