Cats aren't safe in Denver

Upwards of 40 cats have been eviscerated "with surgical precision" and their bodies returned to where they came from within a few days.

Unbelievable.

Speculation runs rampant, from "psycho in training" to "gang initiation."

Whoever it is should be launched into the Sun.

Slowly.

Man, that is sick. If I wasn't such a lazy drunk I might do something about. Eh, oh well.

Are these feral cats or house cats?

House Cats mostly I believe. But it's just getting worse. Just when you think it's stopped, it starts again.

It's a most terrifying thing.

This is why we need a 10th circle of Hell just below Judas and the ice.

I have two cats. I only love my wife more. I don't understand the hate for ANY type of animal. Very sad news. I'm going to Denver, Vigilante style. My cats will help, too. I've already put badass headbands on them. They still have their claws, too.

Does anybody have a link to an article?

Hate to say it (actually, not really, but you know what I mean), but this is reason #4,678 why cats should stay indoors 24/7.

Our cats, all 7 of them, we have sworn up and down that they would always be house cats forever. And we actually have 2 strays that come see us every day that we feed. God forbid if anything ever happened to them....I just don't know what i'd do.

Unless I misread something and people are somehow taking these cats FROM their residences. If so, that's fucking scary.

I wasn't sure about that, that's why I wanted a link.

Cats. I wish I could have a cat. But on my allergy test cats ranked the highest. If I'm in a house of a person who has house cats, within ten minutes I have to leave because my allergy becomes almost unbearble. Red watering eyes, my skin itches all over, my nose turns into Niagra Falls, and worst of all my asthma kicks in. But I love cats just the same, just can't live with them.

The killings sound just awful. But I've heard of similar but less brutal things happening. I remember hearing about on guy who would sneak into his neighbor's yards and steal their dogs and cats, take off their collers. Then he took them to a guy he knew at the local pound who would take the pets, register them as feral strays, and have them gassed within an hour. Awful stuff.

I hope this guy in Denver is caught and then forced to face every one of the owners who's cats he killed.

Sleepless,

Ask your doctor about Becconase. It comes in an inhaler and it worked for my wife who has the exact same problem.

Sad about the kitties. Sounds like a lone psycho rather than a gang initiation.

That is some crazy shit. I'm glad my cat doesn't leave the house.
You have to imagine these people(it can't just be one person or small group it's happening to often and now on different sides of town)will probably run into the wrong person and get gutted themselves. I know if I saw someone even coming close to my house and looked a little odd they'd be leaving in a ambulance. None the less hurting my cat.

Oddly enough this hasn't just seemed to really jump start this summer it every year we have about a dozen of these cases of rampant animal abuse. I know it wasn't to long ago about a dozen dogs were poisoned.

And if this is a gang initiation why not just start having knitting contests?

Didn't Dahmer start off this way?

It's funny that Denver seems to be the hotspot.

Denver also had the Dog poisoing stuff going on too.

Someone here doesn't like animals.

I heard about this on Coast to Coast the other night. It makes me sick.

If he did set his sights higher, he'd get caught quicker and it would be a greater threat, at least with the police. So my bet is he or she is playing it safe with cats.

Plus, most, if not all of the cats have been ones left outside. It could be that our perp is trying to make a point. At least I think it's a possibility.

But it goes without saying. Whoever it is, is going down.

I currently have 6 cats in my house 2 of which I have taken off the streets (One of them scared the shit out of me 5 weeks back when it looked like its guts were coming out and it turned out to be kittens so 6 plus 5 kittens man you should see my litterbox) anyways these punks deserve to be boiled in battery acid after they've been fed old cat litter and had the electronuts treatment ala Jackass.

Jesus, it's just a bunch of fucking cats, people.
