Who's with me here?
Cops and all the medical shows on Discovery etc. They SUCK! Does anybody besides those who are looking for friends even watch those shows?

The only reality TV that matters are nature documentaries. The Real World, Road Rules, Survivor and their ilk should be erased from the consciousness and replaced with reruns of THE TRIALS OF LIFE.

Yeah I would have to agree with you that all those shows suck. I dont think COPS is one of the suckyest though, I would much rather have COPS then most of the other reality shows. I did watch The Real World a few times this summer, only cause I think the people on that show are so screwed up its funny. They always have some crazy psycho bitch on there who is mad at everyone else for the stupidest reasons. I could go on about all the stupid stuff on that show but that would require more typeing.

Road Rules? New one on me there, bud. But you're right about the Nature programs. They are reality without all the sensationalism. Much more compelling.

Unfortunately, as a society we have sunk to this lowest of levels with this ugly predisposition towards voyeurism. We want to see the drunken fuck in his wife-beater shirt being taken away in cuffs. Why?

There's probably something much more interesting on FoodTV.

kronos, the sad thing is:

I don't think we're anywhere near the levels of degredation in REALITY TV. I think it's going to get much, much worse. THE RUNNING MAN will soon be a punchline.

heh....you're more right than you know!

Witness: In Russia there is a program where you can win a car by actually stealing it. The catch is that if the police collar you, well, you're game is finished. It's all on tape, chases and all!

It's only one little step from:
Commentator Yuri - "Dmitri, will they kill our contestant tonight?"
Co-commentator Dmitri - "Yuri, the police are behind in their quotas. Tonight we just might see our contestant shot!"

How far are we from this? Hmmm........

Hahahahahaha. Uhm. Sorry.

The idea of some malcontent deliberately stealing a car and making a desperate escape while on tv makes it so ...I dont know, stupid and yet oddly funny.
